How to choose the right perfume?

Many of us have never thought about how large the world of perfumery is. And if earlier the choice was quite limited, today, whole families of magic odours are presented on the market. You need to know that perfumes can have different bases: oil or alcohol. They are divided into rich oily Arabic blends and lighter French bouquets. Another group is made up of aldehydes based on hydrogen-free alcohol – a specific chemical substance that increases resistance.

Types of fragrances

All existing compositions can be grouped into a particular family (and sometimes to several of them):

• Chypre – the first fragrance of this group, was released in 1917. It was called from Cyprus, where unusual moss grows, which is the main ingredient of this group of fragrances). Over time, notes of patchouli, resin, bergamot and sage were added to this family. Such products are perfect for business meetings or evening events.
• Floral – perhaps, this group can be called the most popular. Of course, this has to do with a great diversity of floral notes and women's love for them. Perfume or eau de toilette can be based on rose's essential oils, lily of the valley, clove, daffodil, lily, etc. Floral men's products are much less frequent.
• Fruit – everyone has felt the attractiveness of the smell of strawberry, raspberry and peach at least once in their life. In addition to the usual fruits, such compositions have exotic aromas of pineapple, papaya, etc. Such items often contain a certain percentage of flowering combinations, which makes their smell more romantic.
• Woody includes scent compositions based on the essence of shrubs and trees (usually sandalwood, iris, rose bush or cedar). These items are characterised by roughness, which is why male products prevail in this group.
• Fougère – this name seems to imply sparkling aromas. But at the same time, they are very calm and noble. These perfumes received their name from the composition "Fougere Royale". You can smell the notes of oakmoss, wood, bergamot and coumarin in them. They smell of freshly cut grass.
• Oriental – this is the most mysterious and sensual fragrance. These are complex and heavy scents. Mainly, these are spicy notes: musk, vanilla, cinnamon, amber, etc. A woman who prefers oriental smells is self-confident, attractive, and mysterious. A man wearing them is successful and has a strong character.
