Cleansing Foams

Regular and high-quality skin cleaning is a must for women who care about the beauty and freshness of their face. The modern cosmetic market offers a wide range of care products, including cleansing foams.

Water temperature

The skin is affected not only by the cleansing agents but also by the temperature. It shouldn’t be hot or icy. Warm liquid is optimal for washing. However, you can finish the procedure with cool or cold water (if you don’t have any contraindications) to close the pores. In this case, the skin will stay clean longer. 

The cleansing foam is a versatile product that combines such properties as gentle action and excellent cleaning. This is possible due to its light and porous texture.

Before applying the foam, you need to prepare the skin by moisturizing it. The foam starts working only when in contact with liquid. First, you should wash off the makeup from your face using micellar or plain water. After that, you can apply the foam:

• Step-by-step technology. It is easy to use a cleansing foam. Put a small amount of foam into your hand. Gently massage the product on the dermis.
• Pay special attention to the oiliest areas. Don’t forget about the area under the lower lip and the tip of the nose. It is recommended to apply the foam to the forehead (up to the hairline). Wait a few seconds for the ingredients to penetrate into the pores. After that, you should rinse off the foam to slightly narrow the pores.
• Don’t forget to rinse your face at the end of the procedure. Use boiled (not tap) water for this purpose. For the last rinse, you can use filtered water or a chamomile/nettle decoction. Herbs can be purchased at the pharmacy.

How often can you use a cleansing foam?

The measure is important in everything, including washing. It is recommended to use the product twice a day. In the evening, you should wash off the make-up, sebum and dirt accumulated during the day. You also need to wash your face it the morning, since the epidermis loses moisture and releases sebum during the night.

More frequent use is necessary if you wear a lot of makeup, or in case of high environmental pollution (for example, if you work in an aggressive environment). Too frequent face washing disrupt the natural pH balance and causes inflammation and excessive sebum production.

Choosing a cleansing foam, you should pay attention to its composition, as it may contain potentially allergenic components, such as SLS, SLES, SMS, mineral oils and parabens. If you’re not sure of the product’s safety, you should choose another (more acceptable) option.
