Beard Balm - Proraso Beard Balm Cypress & Vetyver
My husband has been using this balm consistently for 7 years. It effectively softens his beard without leaving an oily residue. The scent is luxurious.
I really like this manufacturer, they have many products with cool scents. However, unfortunately, this particular balm has a terribly unpleasant smell... I am very disappointed, it is impossible to use... I will order a balm from proraso with wood & spice ingredients, as I have an oil with that scent and it smells incredibly cool.
Something happened with the scent, in the previous purchase it was intense, but now it's practically gone, and there's a slight bitter scent instead. Maybe it was stored improperly or something else. I am disappointed with this purchase, reading the reviews I see that this has already happened or happens occasionally.

I have ordered Proraso products before, so this time I decided to buy without a sample. However, the smell is terrible in my opinion. I didn't expect it to be like this, but it is just a blatant copy of Carolina Herrera 212, which I cannot tolerate. My advice is to order samples before making a purchase.
It seems like the manufacturer has changed the formula. Before, it had a gel-like consistency and a great masculine scent. Now, it's some kind of stinky liquid. I received it a month ago and thought it might be some kind of defective product or something... Well, it happens... I received it again yesterday and it's still the same watery substance. It's really sad because it used to be the best balm.
The fragrance is much better than in the yellow series that we used before. The balm suited my husband the best, while the oil and shampoo are not used as frequently.
I have tried many things for my beard - both expensive and cheap, in different forms - from oils to balms. I can say that this balm is the best product I have ever had. It has a great range of pleasant masculine scents. It really eliminates itchiness (especially relevant for those who have stubble transitioning into a beard), tones and moisturizes the skin. It dries quickly and leaves no traces.
The only downside is the lid, which opens by itself. So, if it just sits at home, it's fine, but it's not possible to take it with you unless you transfer it somewhere else.
The scent of this balm is absolutely amazing! I bought it for my boyfriend and was worried about the smell, but no... it's a light unisex fragrance. I even tested it on a small section of my hair and on my scalp. The balm easily sets and doesn't harden, while also softening the hair. I'm curious to see how it will affect his beard. I highly recommend it, 100%!

Wonderful scent, similar to an expensive perfume. It is light, non-intrusive, and pleasant, and lasts for a long time. The balm quickly absorbs and sets, preventing the beard from becoming greasy throughout the day, unlike other balms. It completely justifies its cost!
