I also purchased for the first time from the expensive segment and I am a little bit disappointed too. The same clumping and stray hairs sticking out in different directions. It's scary to go outside with such beautiful eyes.
To be honest, I am not impressed. This is my first luxury segment mascara, and I took a long time to choose a replacement for my previous one for understandable reasons. I used it a long time ago, and it stopped my choice because the quality was satisfactory. This one clumps, even a budget mascara doesn't allow for that(( Three stars for being lightweight and comfortable to wear. It doesn't smudge. But it does slightly flake. I am attaching a photo of how it looks on the eyes immediately after application.
