The shampoo really dries out my scalp. It causes terrible dandruff after use. Although it does make my hair look better and shiny. However, it's important to not use it after two weeks of dyeing my hair because it really washes out the color. Rinsing with cold water after using conditioner and liquid crystals gives the same effect when using any shampoo. Therefore, I won't buy it anymore.
I purchased the entire series of shampoo, conditioner, and pre-shampoo spray. I was choosing between Kerastase for blondes and this series. This is my first time trying Redken. I have long, dyed blonde hair, and I must say, this is the best thing that has happened to my hair. It looks shiny and alive, as if there is twice as much hair. I never thought my blonde could look this way. I can't say which of the three products is more effective because I used them all together. The shampoo is not violet, it is transparent, and it lathers very well. The conditioner has a nice thickness to it. I highly recommend it to all blondes!
I bought this shampoo along with the conditioner from the same line. The color did lighten a bit, and the shampoo added volume. My hair feels smooth and manageable, it's easy to comb and style.
However, I'm deducting one star because the color did become slightly more yellowish. I suspect it washed out some toning residue, so I think it would be advisable to use a toning mask after using this shampoo.
