Maybelline mascara removes dirt without smudging, it does not irritate the eyes, but leaves the eyelids red after application. The consistency is thick, similar to cream, and feels slightly silicone-like to the touch. Considering its price, it is actually a pretty decent product.
The makeup removes well, but applying it to the eyelids is definitely not recommended as it causes significant eye irritation.
I don't understand the enthusiastic reviews. It burns my eyes terribly if used as a standalone makeup remover. To clean my face from makeup before using a toner, I have to throw away not just one, but even more than five cotton pads or puffs. Consequently, the consumption is quite high.
I found a use for it: only for removing leftover makeup after washing with foam/gel/soap in case I run out of micellar water or cleansing oil.
