I spent a long time looking for a strong-hold product. I have a slicked-back hairstyle with hair that is about 10 centimeters long, and it has become very unruly. I used to use the green Uppercut, but it no longer holds my hair in place. However, this product keeps my hairstyle intact all day, and I can even go to the next day without having to redo it if I style it well in the morning. I am very satisfied with it as it doesn't fall apart on the top of my head and my hair doesn't stick together like a helmet. It does weigh down my hair, makes it sticky, and dries it out like most water-based products, but for me, it's within reason. It has a very subtle shine, almost unnoticeable, but it's not matte! The smell is very long-lasting, and I liked it. It's a masculine fragrance but not overpowering, reminding me of a pleasant dessert. It smells different in the jar compared to how it smells in the hair. I really appreciate the large size of the jar. Overall, I think I'll try something else initially, like Dax, High Life, or Rumble 59. If they don't satisfy me after testing, I will make Layrite my go-to product.
