This regular shampoo has a tar scent, but it is not overpowering. However, it won't help with dandruff, even in combination with other products. Therefore, the purpose written on the bottle is simply marketing.

I don't know about you, but after using this product, my hair doesn't get greasy too quickly. The scent is strange; it smells like barbecue sauce from McDonald's. I think it's more like tar than pine. I find it amusing, but my husband finds the smell disgusting.
