Cleansing Face Wash Gel - The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash
I've been using this gel for three weeks. For the first two weeks, I used it only in the morning, while I used a cleansing milk in the evening. In the third week, I started using it both day and night; in the evening, it follows my cleansing oil. The gel is moderately liquid, transparent, and green. The cap is secure, and the bottle is made of sturdy plastic. It cleanses almost aggressively, but without causing any irritation or compromising the skin barrier—I haven't experienced any burning from vitamin C/niacinamide, additional itching from acids, or dehydration or redness. After washing, my skin feels dry and tight, but a toner helps balance it out, and I follow up with a serum, cream, and sunscreen in the morning. I just need it not to feel squeaky clean, as that bothers me. The scent is strong, featuring tea tree and something pine-like, which I enjoy, but it doesn't linger on my skin. It rinses off well with water. I've added it to my favorites because I really like it. I'm over 35 with oily/combination skin that doesn't break out, but it tends to have barrier issues. With the start of autumn, my body skin is already drying out, but this gel hasn't caused anything similar on my face. Its "drying" effect might just be due to the tea tree, rather than over-stripping sebum.
The product has a slight smell of damp cloth, but it cleans the skin well and provides a refreshing coolness, which is nice during extreme heat. It doesn't dry out the skin, even though the ingredients aren't perfect. It's great for summer, but might feel a bit harsh during the winter heating season.
I "luckily" have combination oily skin and occasionally suffer from quite severe breakouts. It was during one of these periods that I bought a face wash gel (not from Makeup, but from the brand's official store). The gel itself has a strong tea tree scent, quite chemical-like. It doesn't foam very much, but it's economical to use. I liked the effect: after just one week, my breakouts significantly decreased. It does dry out the skin, but I don't think there's any other way to solve my problem. I also use the tea tree oil cream from the same series, and it moisturizes quite well. The gel handles its tasks well, so overall, I recommend it. You just need to get used to the scent.
My son's skin doesn't get dry from using this gel. He really liked it.
My favorite face wash, it doesn't dry out the skin, gently cleanses, and has a pleasant tea tree scent.
The gel effectively cleanses oily facial skin without causing dryness, providing a pleasant feeling of freshness. It does not have any overpowering scents and has a gentle, natural fragrance.
