    The sponge is very firm. It does not expand much when in contact with water, almost no difference can be noticed compared to its dry state. It takes more time to evenly apply foundation with this sponge and without any visible transitions. The foundation is used up more quickly with this sponge than with my previous one, which was soft and expanded twice its size when in contact with water.
