Aloe Soothing Gel - Tony Moly Aloe 99% Chok Chok Soothing Gel
Holika is better than this one! I was swayed by the reviews, but I was disappointed. I have both, so I can compare.
This gel is sticky and leaves a light film. In contrast, Holika is absolutely non-sticky, even if you apply it in handfuls. If you apply just a little of this gel, there is no stickiness, but also no moisturizing effect. The gel melts on the skin and has a watery consistency.
After drying on the face, this gel rolls off (if you rub the skin). On the other hand, Holika absorbs into the skin without leaving a film, so it does not roll off. The only advantage of this gel is that it is convenient to dose, unlike Holika, which has a very inconvenient bottle.
By the way, Holika smells nicer. It has fresh notes of cucumber or watermelon, while this gel has a less pronounced fresh scent, without cucumber notes.
I particularly like the "Aloe" product. It is not sticky and has a pleasant scent. I use it after shaving and also before going to bed. It moisturizes the décolleté area perfectly.
The delivery was on time, everything is good. The gel comes in a large tube (the drops are sufficient, it's economical), it has a transparent consistency with a noticeable scent (for some reason, it smells like glue to me, although my close ones said it smells herbal, well, okay). The moisturization is good (I have combination skin prone to breakouts), compared to the well-known Holika Holika, this gel does not dry out my skin, leaving a slightly moist finish (the "Chok Chok" label on the packaging is not without reason). Overall, I like it.
I didn't buy it here, but I'll leave a review. The gel is really good, you can apply it in small amounts and it moisturizes well. It doesn't make the skin feel tight, and it's perfect to use after washing your face. There's no sticky or greasy feeling on the skin. I highly recommend it!
This gel is excellent. It is not sticky, very pleasant, moisturizing, and does not roll off.
Excellent gel.
It doesn't feel on the skin and moisturizes well.
Personally, I use it in the following ways:
1) Instead of toner/cream/serum for the face - I apply a sufficient layer immediately after washing. In the summer, this is absolutely enough, in the winter - I additionally use a fluid oil (2-4 drops of oil on top of the gel).
2) I also use this gel instead of hair conditioner: I evenly distribute it on damp hair with my hands. I have very thin hair that always tangles and frizzes. The gel doesn't take away volume, but makes the hair more manageable and moisturizes it well.
This product is of the same quality as the one from Holika Holika. The ingredients are great, but if you have any roughness on your skin, you'll need additional moisturization.
This is a great moisturizer for the skin. It has a light and pleasant scent without any unnecessary ingredients in the product. I highly recommend it!
I decided to leave a review after almost a month of use. Aloe gel was given to me by a cosmetologist, from a different brand and much more expensive. Because my skin was very sensitive and flaky in some areas, I decided to find an alternative and bought this one based on the reviews. At first, it seemed that it caused swelling under the eyes in the morning. However, I started applying it with a very thin layer and then, after 5-10 minutes, I would apply a moisturizing cream. As a result, the dryness went away. I am satisfied. :)
At the moment, this is my favorite aloe gel.
Amazing gel, I will definitely buy more.
Terrible gel. I am very disappointed. It burns my face a lot and has such an unpleasant smell, like naphthalene or something similar. It also creates a film on the face, causing the skin to not breathe at all. I even tried it on my hands and it burns as well. I don't know how there can be any good comments about this product, it is absolutely poor quality. It's a waste of money, and I am very upset.
I really liked it. It smells nice and absorbs quickly. If you apply too much, a thin film remains on the face. But if you apply a moisturizing cream on top, it's all good.
I used to use Holika. I decided to try something new because Holika dried my skin a little, and I couldn't apply it without cream. I always lacked enough moisture. But Holika has a great advantage - when applying it thickly overnight, my face was moisturized and all inflammations either disappeared completely or became much less.
It's difficult to apply Tony Moly thickly like Holika. However, Tony Moly absorbs very well and doesn't need to be fixed with cream. After application, there is no dryness and the face looks matte. It smells nice. I am satisfied.
