I have tried everything to achieve a cool dark brown color. It is genuinely cool, simply incredible.

I tried shade 5-21. On slightly lightened hair (balayage), it turned out to be a very deep dark brown, almost black. However, since it's just a toner (I've used toning with this series before), I know that it washes out quite quickly (especially on lightened hair). But the color is very beautiful, very cool-toned. The hair feels very soft, almost like glazed. Next time, I will try shade 7.
