Soothing Face Micellar Water - Garnier Bio Soothing Cornflower Micellar Water
Oh, no! Although I'm not prone to allergies, this product gave me a terrible reaction.
I deeply regret buying this micellar water. It leaves my face red and stinging. It is quite expensive and also harmful to the skin. It claims to be "no rinse," delicately cleanses, and is suitable for sensitive skin. However, it feels like they forgot to add the phrase "for boots" to the description.
I didn't buy it for makeup, but I want everyone to know about it. Garnier products have never caused such a reaction before. My whole face was covered in red spots, and I spent a long time trying to figure out what it was. I never thought that micellar water could do something like this. I'm just horrified...
"The worst micellar water ever. Never buy it if you want to maintain normal skin without any burns. It's unbelievably awful, everything burns and redness doesn't go away."
This micellar water is really great. It was recommended by a dermatologist, and even the composition of this micellar water is fantastic for its price. It cleanses well, doesn't dry out the skin, and doesn't irritate the eyes. I highly recommend it.
I didn't buy this micellar water here, but I can advise anyone who is unsure whether to get it or not - it's better to add some more money and buy a decent cleansing oil. This product, it seems, is not suitable for any skin type at all: it burns and instantly turns red, using it with cleansing foams and gels doesn't help, and the spots stay for quite a long time. At first, I thought it didn't work for me only because I have sensitive skin prone to allergies, but no! I tried it with a friend who has normal skin type, and my mom who has oily skin type. As an experiment, I even wiped a young person's face with it, but it was also a miss. Don't waste your money on this product. Either go for the classic pink one, or add some more money and buy a cleansing oil - it will be more beneficial.
This product fails to fulfill its intended functions. It is very difficult to remove eye makeup with it.
I look at the reviews and I am amazed. It suited me well. It removes makeup effectively, even long-lasting ones. It does not dry out the skin and does not cause breakouts (my skin is very sensitive). The only downside is the scent, which is a matter of personal preference. The ingredients used are decent.
This product is simply water poured into a pretty bottle. It doesn't have the properties of micellar water, as it doesn't remove makeup and it irritates the eyes. I regret buying it a thousand times. It's a waste of money.
Terrible micellar water! After using it, my face turned red and it stung! Washing it off, applying cream, nothing helps! Do not buy it!
I regret not reading the reviews beforehand. During the purchase, I did read about the 1% alcohol content, but I thought it was a small amount and nothing to worry about. However, I was mistaken. The micellar water feels very harsh on the skin (previously I had used the blue Garnier micellar water - everything was fine), even though I have oily skin. I can't even imagine what it would do to dry skin.
If there is a microscopic cut on your face or if you have just squeezed out the contents of a pore, it stings as if you were wiping your face with 70% alcohol. There is absolutely nothing natural about it, and the scent, claiming to be "natural," still has a chemical undertone. Well, I could tolerate that for the sake of a "wow" effect. But the effect is such that it's better off without this product than with it.
So, after using it, my oily skin reacts as if it were exposed to regular alcohol - it starts producing even more oil, a lot more. Of course, I wipe it off and wash my face (I wash off all micellar waters), but while I could tolerate the blue one on my face for about five minutes (in case something distracted me), I can't tolerate this one at all.
I will never buy it again and I won't recommend it to others. Now, I look at all the products in this line from Garnier with skepticism. Sometimes I feel like trying their cleanser, for example, but then I remember my experience with this micellar water and I avoid it like the plague.
There are many negative reviews, but I actually really liked the micellar water. I've been using it for almost a month and haven't experienced any redness or irritation. So, it depends on each individual's preference.
I liked it, I will repeat. I agree with the review below: I have sensitive, prone to rosacea, and breakout-prone skin. Over the past three years, this is the only micellar water that I haven't had any allergies or unpleasant sensations, breakouts, etc. It removes any makeup, all waterproof foundations, matte lipsticks, and mascaras (except for the Evelyn blue waterproof mascara, which needs to be rubbed off). It calms the skin, reduces redness, moisturizes, and somehow affects active inflammations. I can't say it gets rid of them completely, but it somehow soothes them and they go away much faster. It gives a feeling of freshness and cleanliness afterwards. It is the only water that gives a feeling of cleanliness, and using it to wash my face is more pleasant than using tap water. If I didn't have to rinse it off, I wouldn't use water at all and would solely wash my face with it. I have been using it for about 7 months, and there is still about a centimeter left, so it is very economical. I will repurchase it. For the commentators who have arrived from the Stone Age and know about their sensitive skin (or don't know): before using a new product, you need to do a patch test on a sensitive area, instead of immediately applying it all over your face and blaming the manufacturer for allergic reactions on the entire face. Do not mislead reasonable people and think before writing accusatory angry comments about... chemical burns? At least take the time to read the ingredients! I highly recommend this micellar water for purchase, especially since it is completely natural.
My skin is sensitive, but it doesn't get red like some comments claim. I didn't buy it here, but after using it for three weeks, I can't say anything negative. It removes makeup decently, but I wasn't expecting anything extraordinary, especially since I only used it to cleanse my daytime makeup. Remember to rinse off micellar water with water.
This product caused terrible chemical burns, my skin turned red and started burning immediately after use. The micellar water doesn't actually remove makeup, it just smears it all over my face. I don't recommend it to anyone, it's a waste of money.
I purchased micellar water from another store. It was absolutely terrible as it failed to remove makeup from my face and resulted in a significant chemical burn. It would be better to opt for the classic micellar water from this brand or Loreal.
The tonic is helpful to me. It cleanses the skin daily and removes makeup. It refreshes the skin.
The tonic is really helpful for me. It cleanses my skin every day and removes makeup. It also refreshes my skin.
I didn't buy it here.
This micellar water really burns and reddens the face. I have never experienced any allergies before, I am not prone to them, my skin is normal and not sensitive.
It only removes a 3 out of 10 in terms of makeup, so you need to use an additional makeup remover and face wash.
I regret not reading the reviews before purchasing... My skin is not sensitive, in fact, I often do acid masks and peels. But this micellar water makes my face turn red. And it's not always the case. Sometimes it's fine, but other times my cheeks, eyelids, and forehead turn red. They become swollen, with burning sensations and a feeling of heat. Washing with gel doesn't help, and applying cream doesn't improve the situation either. After about 30-40 minutes, my face gradually returns to its normal color. I'm giving it one star because it effectively removes makeup.
I have tried using this makeup remover to remove mascara and eyeliner (non-waterproof, of course), and it works just as well as other micellar waters. What's interesting is that usually I would press the cotton pad against my eye and hold it there to dissolve the makeup, but with this one, it is better to wipe it off immediately (no need to rub, just a few swipes are enough).
Considering its natural ingredients and Cosmos certification, I think this is a win.
The scent is pleasant.
However, it does not wash off very well!
It struggles with mascara (you have to rub your eyes quite a bit to remove it).
Unfortunately,
For the money, it is better to buy from L'Oréal - more effective.
The makeup remover does a poor job of removing makeup, especially eye makeup. It is disappointing. The herbal scent is tolerable, but it fails to fulfill its main task of removing makeup. I purchased it from a regular mass-market store.
The biggest downside for me is the presence of a scent. It's not bad, but it's very intrusive. Even if I need to use a cream with a light scent, it doesn't work very well...
In terms of properties, it's alright, but I won't be ordering more or recommending it to anyone for sure.
I much prefer the classic version of Garnier micellar water.
So far, this product is at the top of my worst list. The scent is not great, and it doesn't wash off well. At most, it can remove powder, but it doesn't work on mascara. And the most surprising thing is that it starts to sting my face, even though I don't have any allergies.
I have tried all of Garnier's micellar waters, and this one is now my favorite! The scent, in my opinion, is very pleasant. It does remove makeup slightly less effectively than regular ones - I need to use two cotton pads to remove foundation, mascara, and eyeshadow. However, considering the ingredients and the scent, this is forgivable.
The herbal scent is very strong. I usually enjoy the scent of herbs, but in this case, it smells like some sort of artificial herbs... not pleasant. It stings the skin upon application. It only removes makeup moderately well.
I really liked the micellar water, especially the herbal scent. It worked perfectly for my dry skin type. After using it, there is no feeling of dryness or tightness. I particularly liked the product's ingredients. From now on, I will only buy this one, even though I used to use the Garnier rose micellar water before. But when I looked at its ingredients, I decided not to buy it anymore. Overall, I really like the whole line for its naturalness. I recommend it)))
I preferred the micellar water from the classic series (with the pink lid). I bought everything as a set from the new series... but I was disappointed. It doesn't remove makeup well and leaves my skin sticky (I have to wash my face after removing makeup with it). I won't buy it again.
The micellar water is just average. It doesn't remove makeup well. You have to rub your eyes forcefully, which is something I don't want to do. I like the scent though. But I won't buy it again. The classic micellar water from this company is much better.
