At first, I didn't understand it, so I put it aside until summer. But now I get it. I agree with the previous comment about applying it with fingers on prepared skin that has absorbed previous skincare products. If you apply it directly, it will clump because of its consistency. You only need a small amount because the product is thick and dense, which I personally like. A pea-sized amount is enough for the entire face. It spreads smoothly on the skin and doesn't drip or streak. You just need to find the right approach.
In the summer, my skin is oily and prone to breakouts, but I haven't noticed this cream increasing them. My shade is 203, I have brunette hair and usually have a tan, but it's been two years since I've been to the beach, so my skin has become paler with a yellowish undertone. I rarely guess the right shade online, but I was lucky this time. Overall, I still recommend this product if you are willing to get used to its dense consistency.
At first, I was very satisfied and chose shade 203, but it turned out to be too dark. Shade 100 Ivory was a perfect match. It provides good coverage if you learn how to apply it correctly. Definitely not with wet sponges or brushes. Also not with a dry sponge. The best coverage was achieved by using SPF cream first, then applying the foundation with fingers and distributing it evenly on the skin and neck. To prevent a mask-like appearance, I could blend it on my face with a dense brush.
The coverage is very dense. However, there is a big problem that made me switch to another foundation altogether. The main component of this foundation is oils. It clogs the pores and starts producing excess sebum. Since the face is covered by a film, inflammation starts to develop. Closed comedones appear within a day, especially if you are prone to breakouts. It is difficult to wash off from the face, from the moment of application to removal.
I liked it. I got shade 010 and added a darker foundation to correct the tone. When applied on its own, it doesn't go on evenly regardless of the application method.
I didn't like the foundation. It feels like a mask on my face and I want to wash it off quickly.
If you decide to buy it, keep in mind that it may appear darker on the tester. I chose a shade that matched me perfectly on the tester, but in reality, it turned out to be reddish and dark.
I absolutely love this foundation! It has a thick and mousse-like consistency. I like to mix it with a more liquid foundation, and it applies perfectly. It gives me a beautiful and even complexion all day long.
Shade 010 is very light, it mattifies well, but it sinks into my enlarged pores... What should I do? And by the end of the day, the foundation is visible in the pores. It didn't work for me, a waste of money.
I bought the shade 203 True Beige. When combined with a more liquid foundation (mixing shades), it is simply amazing.
This matte foundation is absolutely fabulous! It provides excellent coverage and gives a perfectly matte finish. The shade 010 Porcelain is extremely light.
I regret my purchase, it was a waste of money and four days of ruined mood (I experimented with different creams and bases under this foundation). It creates a grandma-like mask, settles into every pore and wrinkle, and my combination skin becomes even oilier, just like with all other foundations, with no mattifying effect whatsoever. Shade 103 - it appears yellowish and not light, but after application - it whitens the face, making it look pale. In short, if you have even the slightest enlarged pores, wrinkles, or oily skin - I do not recommend it at all.
I purchased shade 203 (true beige). It seems alright, it stays on well and has a mattifying effect, but the texture feels somewhat dry, and the shade is quite light. If you want a darker shade, I suggest starting with the sand tone.
I really liked it. The texture is very lightweight, like mousse. Throughout the day, there is no shine in the T-zone and it doesn't transfer much onto clothing. It doesn't feel like a mask, and the coverage is medium, I think. It evens out the color without any issues and covers small pimples. The shade 100 is without any yellow undertones. Don't confuse it with stay matte. They are completely different products. The latter is very heavy, but this one is not. I will definitely get it again.
I found it suitable and liked it. It fits very evenly and seamlessly, concealing all imperfections, and is quite durable.
