Sun Lotion - Avene Eau Thermale Sun Very High Protection Lotion SPF50
The cream leaves no traces on the skin, it is slightly sticky, and has a subtle scent. It is white in color. It provides good sun protection (a 250ml tube lasted for 3 weeks of daily use, mostly applied on hands and legs). However, all white items turned yellow in areas where the cream touched (collars, shirt sleeves, sides where hands rested).
Great cream. It has a thick consistency and a little goes a long way, and most importantly - it helped me avoid getting sunburned during my week-long vacation. If you want to tan more actively, then apply less. There may be some white marks on clothing, but we were on vacation - wearing shorts and t-shirts, so we didn't mind any streaks. It doesn't wash off in the sea and stays on the skin for quite a long time.
I really liked this cream, it provides good protection. My face tends to burn quickly, but after a week at the beach, it remained as white as it was before. As for the consistency, yes, it is oily, but not excessively so. It may leave marks on clothing, but that's expected for a sunscreen, right? Any decent sunscreen will be white and thick. The important factor is how quickly it absorbs. Compared to my previous creams, this one is the best not only for the beach but also for everyday use. It absorbs fairly quickly and any remaining residue can be easily spread across the face. Yes, there may be a slight film left, but how else would you expect it to be? You can gently pat away any residue with a tissue and it will look presentable. In short, I really liked it.
One star simply because for such a price, I didn't even think to check the composition. In the end, after reading the composition, it turned out that there are two components that are prohibited by the FDA. The most serious organization for product safety certification in the USA.
In short, Avene, I trusted you in vain when choosing a sun protection cream.
I didn't buy it here, but I sincerely want to share my review. One tube lasts for 9-10 days of active use for two adults. As for protection, there are no issues. It truly protects from the scorching tropical sun. However, when it comes to everything else, there are both questions and disappointments. It is very greasy, dense, and feels like a thick layer on the skin. It whitens the skin, even on a tanned skin, leaving white streaks that are almost impossible to blend. Regarding clothing and swimsuits, it's a whole separate conversation. It leaves immediate yellowish stains. In summary, it provides protection but has several drawbacks. It is possible to find a better product, especially in this price range. I won't be buying it again.
I really liked it. It leaves a sticky layer, and everything sticks to it, but it provides excellent protection. My skin is fair and easily burns in the sun. This cream definitely saves me.
The product is convenient to use and leaves no traces. The scent is not overpowering. I tested it under direct sunlight for a while and my skin did not get burnt (it didn't even turn slightly red). Overall, the cream is not completely absorbed, so the skin feels slightly sticky, which is not very comfortable, but it looks moisturized.
My mom and I bought one bottle for both of us (250 ml) at the Makeup store. She was going to Thailand for 10 days, and I was going to Sri Lanka for 10 days. In the end, we were both satisfied and didn't get burnt once, even though my mom has very delicate skin and mine is tanned and not prone to burning. We applied the cream 2-3 times a day from 10 am to 4 pm.
The cream doesn't leave a greasy feeling on the skin and has a nice perfume scent. It did leave light yellow stains on the collars of white shirts, but this is a common characteristic of all sunscreens due to their composition. So, I accepted it and easily removed all the stains at home using an oxygen bleach.
In the end, we didn't even finish one bottle for two vacations. I highly recommend it! The cream really saved us.
