It applies easily and doesn't sink into pores due to its lightweight coverage. It evens out the complexion and adjusts quite well to the skin tone. The "brightening" effect is achieved by the presence of a small amount of finely milled shimmer (visible in sunlight). It can be used as an all-over face highlighter. I use it on its own, so I'm unsure of how it performs as a base for foundation. I have combination skin, so I didn't appreciate the "glow." However, I think it would work well for dry skin. I apply it with a beauty blender or my fingers, and it doesn't clump. It doesn't cause any skin issues (I use it irregularly, so I can't say for sure). It's worth giving it a try. The ingredients are good.
