I purchased shade number 7, which is slightly tanned. I like everything about it except that it was manufactured in 2016, and now it's almost 2020. I think that's why it has a terrible smell, like old cream. Lately, makeup products have been disappointing because they're selling old stock without any discounts! However, it does provide a nice matte finish, applies well, and doesn't cake. But, oh, that old smell is really off-putting! The color itself is fine, though.
This foundation didn't leave a positive impression on me. One of its advantages is that it does a good job of mattifying the face, keeping the skin from getting shiny for a long time. However, for me personally, it has more drawbacks than benefits. It applies unevenly, settles into pores, and creates a mask-like effect. Although it doesn't go on very thick, it somehow feels like it's applied in multiple heavy layers, even when I try to use it sparingly and blend it well. I use it occasionally, hoping it might work better with another try. I'm somewhat disappointed with this foundation. While it's not terrible, its flaws have me looking for a replacement. Despite this, I love and respect Clinique products, especially their powders.
The cream is amazing! The store always impresses with its original products! Thank you!
I've been using the cream for a week, although I didn't purchase it here. Initially, the cream seemed a bit runny, but now it has a thicker consistency. It doesn't apply very evenly, and if you layer it, it tends to pill. I try to apply it in a thin layer, but it's still visible up close. After about four hours, my skin starts to look shiny, and when I blot my face with a tissue, it leaves patches where the cream wipes off. This makes my skin look uneven, so I definitely need to use powder afterward. Now, I'm not sure what to do with it. Should I mix it with my day cream or just stop using it altogether?
Absolutely fantastic! I have combination skin, and no other foundation has given me the matte effect that the Clinique Stay Matte Oil-Free Makeup does. I bought it at Duty Free since it’s not available at Brocard yet. Give it a try, you won’t regret it!
