Penhaligon's Elisabethan Rose - Eau de Parfum
I have been using these perfumes for half a year, but it never crossed my mind that they smell like cucumbers or, even more so, borsch! This is a very elegant, expensive scent of fresh roses, with a pleasant bitterness. Truly, there is no accounting for taste!
About the seltzer in question.
In my opinion, it ruins the entire aroma.
The first three seconds are like marinated cucumbers, but then a rose appears, a pleasant and unique aroma. I can't say it's very long-lasting... If you have the opportunity to test it, it's better to try the perfume on yourself before buying the full-size version.
Girls here were writing about the smell of brine, but to be honest, it smells like a combination of roses and dill to me, no matter how hard I try to avoid it. Surprisingly, it's actually very beautiful. In my opinion, this is the best rose I have ever tried - juicy, sweet, without the taste of "grandmother's powder" that many perfumes with rose have (like Tom Ford's Rose Prick). Overall, I really liked it.
The fragrance is long-lasting, but its scent is subjective and may not appeal to everyone. It has a distinct smell of pickles, believe it or not.
The longevity of this product is extraordinary. I applied it on my wrist, and the bracelet still smells after two days, and I believe it will last even longer. The scent is a combination of roses infused with cucumber brine. Interestingly, as soon as I applied it, the first thing that came to mind was "a salty rose." My husband even commented, "I was wondering where the borscht-like scent was coming from."
