I have shade 3 and fair skin, so I always go for the lightest powder. This bronzer suits me well, but if you apply a little too much, it starts to turn slightly reddish.
If you don't know what to buy, you should go for this bronzer. It will last for at least a year. Shade 02 is quite light and not reddish. It is used very sparingly, so in the end, it will not be more expensive than mass-market products.

As for mattifying, I do not apply it to my T-zone, but on my cheeks, as my skin is normal there. I highly recommend this powder for those who prefer a natural daytime makeup look.
