Preventing Tears During Childbirth Oil - Weleda Damm-Massageol
I didn't buy it from the website, although I buy a lot of Weleda products here. I am very satisfied. I used it for massage for 2 weeks before giving birth. No tears or cracks. I recommend pregnant girls to use it. It definitely won't make things worse. And it can help)))
I do not recommend.
I had never done massages before, but I decided to use this product during labor. Whether the oil helped or not, I managed to give birth without any tears. It has a strong scent. It's definitely a good addition to have in your arsenal!
I used it during childbirth, and it really works. The oil is fantastic, I highly recommend it. Although it comes in a big liter bottle, there was still plenty left afterwards.
Do you need to remove the oil after a massage?
Great oil, I recommend buying and trying it. Be sure to take it with you to the delivery room as some progressive midwives know and know how to use it. I had no tears.
I bought this product on the recommendation of a friend to avoid any tearing. I followed the massage instructions as stated, and I didn't experience any allergies. The scent is pleasant and herbal, it didn't irritate me at all. I was worried about the possibility of tearing, but this oil definitely helped. I highly recommend it, especially considering its affordable price. It's better to try it out than not at all, and it will be beneficial for your childbirth experience. Just remember to breathe correctly and push effectively, and everything will be fine.
Unfortunately, it did not help me.
It didn't prevent tearing, but it was helpful during childbirth.
I used it during my first pregnancy, and my doula just poured it on me during labor - it helped a lot, there were no tears, and then everything returned to its "normal" state! I highly recommend it to everyone, I'm pregnant again now, and I will definitely buy it.
This product helped me give birth without any tears. It is designed to assist not only in preventing tears during childbirth but also in speeding up tissue healing afterwards.
I tried my best, massaged diligently, but there was no effect at all. "It worked," I think, only for those who already have elastic tissues there. I love the brand, but it's definitely not worth spending money on this.
It didn't work for me.
I fell for the positive reviews and bought this oil to avoid tears. I was alarmed by the strong smell of essential oils (which is strange for a product for delicate areas), but oh well... I strictly followed the instructions. BUT! After just three or four uses - horrible irritation, itching, and all the unpleasant symptoms of thrush. Although, before using the oil, I hadn't thought about candidiasis for several years. Naturally, I had to stop using it urgently.
I do not recommend it for pregnant women (or with great caution)! To avoid causing harm, as in my case. I left one star because it's not bad for moisturizing feet))) Although, it's a bit pricey for the price.
I bought it, but the doctor did not recommend using it, so I will just try it on my body. It has a quite strong smell, which is unusual for such an oil.
The oil didn't help me either. I think it all depends on genetics and skin elasticity. The oil has nothing to do with it.
The oil did not help. One positive aspect is its natural composition.
I couldn't avoid breakage, even though I diligently did the massage. I believe that the price of the oil is greatly inflated.
"The oil has a pleasant smell and is of high quality. However, it is completely useless and has zero effect. It's a waste of money. I suggest using this money to buy something for your little one. Don't make the same foolish mistakes!"
I would like to share my experience with this oil.
I gave birth in November 2019 without any tears or cuts, but this oil had nothing to do with it!
I only used it a couple of times during my pregnancy (sometimes I forgot, sometimes I was lazy, etc.). I bought it for relaxation purposes.
Therefore, I conclude that the issue is not with the oil, but rather with physiology and the midwife who assists with the delivery.
Now I use this oil for my face and I really like it.
I started using it more than a month before giving birth, every evening, and after 2 weeks, I tried to use it more often. It tore, although the baby was born at 2920. I think it's physiologically and individually. I give it one star at least for the fact that the natural oil did not harm it.
And the oil saved me from tears, we started doing massages from the 30th week of pregnancy and as a result, I gave birth to a baby weighing 3800 without a single tear! Even though I am small myself. Moreover, after childbirth, I applied the remaining oil on the stretch marks and the skin became much more elastic.
I bought this oil for massage purposes, but I rarely used it because the procedure itself is not pleasant if done correctly. During childbirth, the midwife applied the oil during breaks between contractions, but since my baby was not positioned correctly, he simply popped out of me without any tearing, only the mucous membrane was slightly affected. After a week, I couldn't even feel any stitches anymore, so I believe that if the oil is used correctly during pregnancy and childbirth, the results will be good.
My friend used this oil, and her baby was born weighing less than 3kg and she had tears. I used regular wheat germ oil, and my baby weighed 3.5kg without any tears. Even though I am petite, weighing 45-47kg in my non-pregnant state. So, it all depends on how you do the massage, right?
The oil is good, it increased the elasticity of the fabric. However, I couldn't really test it in practice as I had a C-section and a large baby with a narrow pelvis. I bought it at the pharmacy and it was only 150 UAH.
