Hydrophilic Face Oil - Holika Holika Soda Pore Cleansing B.B Deep Cleansing Oil
Amazing!! It effectively removes black spots and really unclogs pores!! I'm thrilled.
I didn't buy the oil here, but I will leave a review because I often read makeup reviews before making a purchase. Firstly, I want to mention that I have already bought my fifth bottle. I am very satisfied with it. I have combination skin and it removes all my makeup very effectively, even better than micellar water. I apply it with dry hands on dry skin, massage it, add a little water, massage again, and rinse it off. Then I cleanse my face with a facial cleanser. My skin is clean, not oily, and there is no trace of makeup left. I use it every evening, so I highly recommend it!
Great value for money. The scent is pleasant. It's not as thick as other oils. When they say it causes acne, it means you're not rinsing it off correctly. You should rinse off the oil with warm water, then use foam or gel, followed by toner and cream. I recommend it to everyone.
The oil is cost-effective, although I'm not sure about its composition. It effectively removes my makeup. Overall, we bought it to remove SPF, and it might actually work for that. However, I started experiencing severe breakouts on my T-zone, cheeks, and chin. My skin was perfect and had no issues until I used this oil :(((
To each their own. Personally, I find that it suits my oily skin very well.
This budget oil is really cool. I have been using it for a year now. One bottle lasts me exactly six months.
My favorite hydrophilic oil. Thank you for the fast delivery.
I genuinely don't understand why there are so many negative reviews. Perhaps people don't know how to properly use hydrophilic oil?
1. Apply (attention!) with dry hands onto (attention!) dry facial skin and distribute. I apply it on my entire face, neck, eyebrows, and eyelashes. Be careful with the eyelashes because it might get into your eyes, but I have never experienced any irritation because of it.
2. Massage for a minute.
3. Lightly wet your hands with water and continue massaging. This way, the viscous oil will transform into a substance between milk and foam. You will notice how your makeup literally dissolves before your eyes.
4. Only after that, you can remove the oil in the usual way. Along with it, the cosmetics, dirt, and sunscreen residue will be washed away.
5. And most importantly - after rinsing off the oil, it is essential to wash your face with regular foam or cleansing gel. Hydrophilic oil is not enough for a complete cleansing because its main function is to dissolve makeup. Therefore, its components may remain on the skin after rinsing with regular water. Foam or gel completes the cleansing process.
If you follow this order while washing your face, you will never experience irritations or comedones from this oil. It will dissolve any cosmetics. At least, that's how it works for me. Every time I go back to it, breakouts disappear, and my skin becomes significantly cleaner and healthier.
As for the ingredients - everything is good in this oil. It has been verified on the Safety Makeup website. Besides, it is very economical. That's why I recommend it.
I used to think that my skin turned red from the sun and SPF creams, but no, the culprit was this hydrophilic cleanser. I switched to Round Lab and it's simply amazing.
I bought it when I didn't know much about cosmetics and I don't recommend it to anyone who has even minimal care requirements. Personally, I use it to clean my makeup brushes and it works well, so I suggest it for that. However, there are much better skincare products available in this price range.
The product worked perfectly for my oily skin. I even started using it on my neck and décolletage area, and it helped reduce breakouts and minimize pores. I am completely satisfied with it, and the scent is pleasant. I will definitely order more.
It effectively removes makeup and has a pleasant lemon scent, but it excessively dries and tightens my skin, even causing white residue and flaking (my skin is dry and sensitive). I believe that sacrificing my skin's well-being for makeup removal is not worth it. I definitely won't be purchasing it again.
I didn't buy it here. I bought the regular mascara with 2 coats and the long-lasting foundation from Estee Lauder. It doesn't wash off easily. It caused breakouts under the skin, even though I washed my face thoroughly with gel afterwards. I didn't like the smell, but that's a matter of personal preference.
I didn't buy it here, but I really like the hydrophilic oil. The scent is interesting. It removes stubborn makeup on the first try, about 90% of it. I always double cleanse with the hydrophilic oil to remove my makeup, and it even removes false eyelashes.
I was not impressed with this product. I bought it based on reviews and reluctantly spent money on it. Honestly, it did not meet my expectations. I tried using it according to all the advice from the comments, but all my attempts were in vain. It caused my eyes to become swollen and irritated. When I tried to wash it off, my eyes remained blurry, as it is an oil after all. In the end, I went back to my trusty old micellar water.
After using this product, I experienced breakouts. It was not able to completely remove all the Korean cushion from my face, and it did not effectively address blackheads (although I'm not sure if it was supposed to).
In any case, there are much better alternatives in the Korean skincare market, even if they cost 100 hryvnias or more.
I am disappointed with this product as it caused small pimples and itching on my face.
One touch of this oil causes a rash on the skin, which then requires a long time to heal (my skin is healthy and I am using it correctly). I don't understand why people praise Korean cosmetics, they are all terrible.
The oil suited me well. It cleanses effectively and has a pleasant scent.
The oil is fantastic. When used correctly, it removes both mascara and foundation without causing any irritation. It has a pleasant scent and is economical to use. It has just the right amount of oiliness and worked wonders for my combination skin.
This product is very poor.
I didn't really like it for the face... it's too aggressive.
However, it works perfectly for cleaning beautyblenders and brushes from creamy textures.
Excellent product! It is crucial to use it correctly. It is not intended for removing mascara, but it works wonders for cleansing the skin. I use the 4-2-4 cleansing system.
1) Apply the oil to your face with dry hands and massage for 4 minutes.
2) Continue massaging your face with damp hands, an emulsion will appear.
3) Rinse off the remaining oil and emulsion with warm water.
4) Apply the foam and massage your face for 2 minutes.
5) Rinse with cool water for 4 minutes.
6) Be sure to use a toner and follow with regular skincare routine (serums, essences, creams).
The skin is simply beautifully cleansed, blackheads disappear.
This product was a disappointment to me, even though the face wash foam from this brand is very good. The effect of this oil turned out to be minimal, even after pre-treating the eye area with micellar water. It also has a high consumption rate.
I was expecting much more! It's not worth the money. It is very weak and does not cope well with waterproof cosmetics. I don't know how much rubbing it takes to remove eye makeup. The only positive point is that it is suitable for sensitive eyes and does not cause any irritation. That's about it. I really regret buying it, there are much better options available.
I really don't understand where the praise for this product comes from... in my opinion, it's a useless waste of money... yes, it's comfortable for the face... it doesn't sting or irritate the skin and mucous membranes, but it completely fails in its main function - "cleansing"... After using it, you still need to cleanse your face further... mascara smudges all over... overall, I do not recommend it.
Medium oil: it doesn't sting the eyes, it washes off properly, but it is too watery and struggles with mascara, and I want a single product to remove all makeup.
I purchased this product specifically for removing BB cream. And I realized that my face wash is just as effective. It removes 3 out of 5 makeup oil, but it is comfortable to use and does not leave a film on the face.
Excellent oil. It effectively removes makeup without leaving any oily residue.
It effectively removes makeup, but strangely enough, it leaves a slight feeling of dryness after use, which is surprising for an oil-based product. My skin is combination type.
This is a great oil that effectively removes makeup, although it does tend to dry out the skin a bit.
My review will consist of two parts. 1 - about the oil itself, 2 - about the store's service.
1. The oil is excellent. It worked perfectly on my oily skin with large pores (we distribute it on the dry face with massaging movements and gently rub it in for 3-4 minutes, then wet the hands and massage until a confident white foam appears on the skin, then rinse it all off with water).
It should be noted that cleansing with hydrophilic oil is a two-step process, and after the oil, you should wash your face with your usual cleanser (foam, gel). It is also important to understand that the oil is intended for cleansing the skin (SKIN, not eyelashes) - this is for those who complain that mascara does not come off. The product is not a universal makeup remover, you know.
2. Regarding the Makeup store. The oil arrived in a different bottle (not the one shown in the picture). The manufacturer changed the packaging, and it became difficult to identify it (now everything, except for the ingredients, is written in Korean).
I managed to identify the product by its ingredients, on my second attempt at the post office. I highly recommend Makeup store to pay attention to such details and change the pictures/description on time. Because my first impression was that they sent me something completely different from what I ordered.
This is my second oil, the first one was from Beelita (I bought it as a trial) and only with this oil did I understand what it is like!!! I try to remove my makeup with micellar water, but sometimes I forget, so this oil does a fantastic job. It leaves my face perfectly clean and soft! I don't understand the reviews where they say that it supposedly doesn't remove anything!! Ladies, maybe you're not using the cleansing oil correctly? If this doesn't remove your makeup, then I don't know what else you could use to remove it!!! I'm thrilled with this product!!!!
This product effectively cleanses pores, leaving them clear and refreshed.
I was surprised by some of the reviews. Ladies, hydrophilic oil does NOT remove eye makeup. It should NOT be applied to the eyes or lips at all. Hydrophilic oil should be applied to dry facial skin for a few minutes, then massaged with wet fingers. Afterward, remove eye and lip makeup with appropriate products and remove the remaining oil with makeup remover. It is necessary to wash your face with a makeup remover afterwards! Then, you can use your regular skincare products - toner, moisturizer. The oil does NOT replace skincare products.
This oil is simply amazing! It works really well with any makeup, easily washes off with water, and doesn't dry out the skin at all. I have combination skin, so I use a foam cleanser after using it, and my face feels cleansed and moisturized. There are no dry patches and my pores have tightened. The only downside is that the ingredients are written in Korean, so I had to look them up online to make sure it doesn't contain any aggressive chemicals. Overall, I am very satisfied and would highly recommend it.
For such a price, I expected much more than what I ended up getting. So, what did I actually get? Well, to be honest, nothing much! The BB cream washes off decently, but it doesn't handle mascara (no matter how long-lasting or oily it is on the eyes)! I end up looking like a panda, and it doesn't clean the pores. The only good thing about it is that it washes off easily, doesn't irritate the eyes at all, and doesn't leave any unpleasant film on the face.
This is my first hydrophilic oil. I have nothing to compare it to. Overall, I am satisfied with it. Since the Holika BB cream cleanser did not suit me, I use a regular, non-Korean cleanser to remove it. I have combination skin type. It does not tighten my skin, it cleanses well, and it has a sweet scent, like bubblegum.
When used correctly, this product cleanses very well and leaves a pleasant sensation on the face. However, I expected more for some reason.
P.S. It is best to use other products after it, such as in this combination: oil, cleanser, toner, moisturizer (I use a scrub instead of toner). It provides excellent skincare.
After six months, I am writing an additional review because at the beginning, I couldn't fully appreciate this cleansing oil. As someone with combination skin, I am well aware of the issue of blackheads. All the products I tried either didn't work or only had a short-term effect. This oil is a true find for girls with the same problems as me. After ordering it, I used it several times to cleanse my face, then stored it in a cabinet where it remained for a few months. Then, I stumbled upon an article on how to properly use hydrophilic oil and decided to give it another try. After a month of using it every evening, I noticed results - my blackheads practically disappeared from my face. I was both surprised and delighted since I had never seen this on my own face before! And the completely clean sponge with toner after washing testifies to the truly deep cleansing of the skin, which adds even more advantages to this oil! I highly recommend it! And I am looking forward to its availability on makeup, hopefully it will be available soon!
