The legacy of the legendary jeweler and master of glass, René Lalique, lives on to this day. Lalique has launched an entire fragrance line dedicated to significant moments of the past years, serving as a retrospective of its history. Thus, the Rose Royale 1935 Eau de Parfum is dedicated to the opening of the first Lalique store in the chic Parisian district on Rue Royale.
Its sweet, floral, fruity scent equally suits both men and women. Capricious, moderately sweet, and quintessentially French in its charm, it makes one fall in love from the very first notes. The opening note of Rose Royale 1935 sparkles with fresh apricots and peaches, seamlessly transitioning into the luxury and sophistication of the heart note of honeyed osmanthus and rose. The final note captivates with the richness of cashmere wood, osmanthus absolute, and musk.
Just as the exquisite glass artworks of René Lalique once mesmerized lovers of beauty, today, the elegant fragrances of Lalique House continue to astonish connoisseurs of fine scents.
A wonderful classic red rose fragrance. The packaging is stunning. It's love at first sight. Although 100 ml seems like a lot, it’s just perfect. The scent is beautiful, and the box is very elegant. To me, it doesn't smell like a fruity mix; it's purely a fragrant, honeyed red rose. I compared it to roses from other brands and would only consider Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris A la Rose as an alternative.
First impression: the scent is like a blend of peach, apricot, and rose jam—very rich and almost overwhelmingly sweet. The fruity notes dissipate quickly, leaving behind a rosy, musky aroma with a hint of powder. It's heavy and has a lingering trail. Overall, it's quite old-school; I think it would be great for autumn. It's lovely but unusual, not for everyone. I highly recommend testing it somewhere before buying. (I purchased a tester, and it came in an original bottle with cardboard packaging.)
