The choice of developer depends on the desired level of lightening:

Mix tones are not permanent cream dye like other Wella Koleston dyes, but rather color correctors for dye! If you only tint with the mix, the color will be very saturated, but it will also wash out very quickly. After bleaching with powder, the mix should be used with a 1.9% emulsion, no higher. I have been using mix 066 for many years to correct the color shade of regrowth during root lightening. 066 is a violet mix tone specifically created to neutralize the yellowish tone of bleached hair.
