This fragrance is inspired by the eccentric 1920s, a time when intellectuals, artists, musicians, and other aesthetes from around the globe would vacation on the island of Capri, once a favored spot of the great Roman Emperor Tiberius. This cosmopolitan, glamorous elite found solace in their grand mansions perched on cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
Drawing inspiration from the image of the femme fatale of the extravagant, glamorous 1920s, the perfumery house Carthusia has created the equally vibrant and bold fragrance, Lady Carthusia, as a tribute to confident women worldwide. With remarkable harmony, it blends all the contrasts of the tumultuous era in its chypre-floral notes. Unfolding a bouquet of a thousand flowers, the sweet and persuasive Lady Carthusia is perfectly suited for the woman who agrees to be nothing less than the center of attention.
I didn't buy it here. It has a very interesting and beautiful scent. It gives the impression that Dzintars and Marina Micallef were mixed together. It is very soft and firm. For me, jasmine, cyclamen, peach, and iris are the dominant notes. And the musk is not sour or animalic, like in Royal Muska Micallef. It unfolds beautifully on the skin.
