1. You can start the test at least 15 minutes after your last alcohol consumption. Refrain from smoking before the test as well.
2. Press the plastic protective caps on both sides of the breathalyzer to pierce the protective film until you feel resistance.
3. Take a deep breath and blow into the mouthpiece, following the direction of the arrows on the breathalyzer. Blow air into the mouthpiece twice for approximately 10 seconds each time, ensuring there is no interruption during each cycle. Make sure the air is expelled from the other side of the breathalyzer. If this does not happen, repeat the procedure described in step 2.
4. Read the test result within 2 to 5 minutes.
5. If the crystals in the center of the tube, which are white before the test, turn colored, it indicates that the person being tested is under the influence of alcohol and should not drive under any circumstances. The approximate blood alcohol content in permille can be determined by comparing the result with the color charts found on both the breathalyzer and its packaging. Note that the crystals may discolor with varying intensity, and some white areas may remain visible despite the presence of alcohol.
6. Dispose of the used test in a household waste container.
