After applying, you need to wait and avoid spreading it with your hands. Instead, blot with a tissue to prevent it from rolling off and to eliminate shine.
I received a sample of this cream with my order and was disappointed. Although I really love Cerave products, this particular cream tends to roll off. I wasn't aware of this and it ruined my makeup. :(
