I tried this hair dye, number 70, to match my highlighted hair, which is at levels 9-10, closer to my natural color. My roots had grown out about 2 cm at level 6, with a slight but noticeable amount of gray. I chose this dye because I wanted something gentle, as my hair isn't in the best condition.

Let's start with the positives. The dye doesn't have a strong odor; there's a smell, but it's not overpowering, likely because it might be ammonia-free, though I'm not sure. The consistency is medium, and nothing dripped while I was using the applicator that came in the kit. A major plus for me, as I often have allergic reactions to hair dye, was that I had no reaction to this one—no itching, redness, or staining of the skin.

The color turned out with a warm reddish tint, similar to my roots but warmer. The dye made my roots even darker, but it didn't cover my gray hairs, which still shone silver. I know that ammonia-free dyes don't last as long on my hair and often turn out a shade darker than expected. Initially, for the first two days after coloring, I was pleased. My hair was shiny and slightly dry, but the conditioner worked well. However, since I wash my hair frequently, the color faded after about three washes, turning three shades lighter to a dull red, losing its shine and becoming matte. The gray hairs became as noticeable as before coloring.

I'm somewhat disappointed, as I've never experienced such intense fading with other ammonia-free dyes. My impressions are mixed. I'll try to be patient and let my hair grow out a bit before going back to L'Oréal, as this dye just doesn't hold up well. It feels more like a toning balm, even though the kit includes a 4% developer, which dried out my hair.

I left a review on April 21, 2024. I have been using this hair dye for the entire time, once a month (because my gray roots grow out), but I recently switched to medium brown. I wash my hair every day, so the color dulls after 4 weeks, but using shampoo for colored hair slows down the process. I am satisfied with this dye and do not plan on switching to another one. I hope it doesn't disappear from production.

I am very satisfied with this product. The gray roots are perfectly covered when I use it. I typically dye my hair every 5-6 weeks. With ammonia-based dyes, I had to do it more frequently.

I am very satisfied with this product. The gray roots are dyed perfectly. I dye my hair every 5-6 weeks. I should have used ammonia-based ones more often.
