  • Unveiling the essence of immortelle in an overdose, this fragrance extract creates an addictive and spicy allure. The scent from Marc-Antoine Barrois Ganymede is inspired by the name of Jupiter’s moon, discovered in 1610 by Galileo. It is a rocky, hilly planet with several craters and an underground ocean larger than all those on Earth combined. The creative duo Marc-Antoine Barrois and Quentin Bisch envisioned a planet of hot dunes, caressed by relentless waves, while crafting the Ganymede Extract perfume.

Top Notes of rich myrrh and incense impart an almost licorice-like nuance, accentuating the vibrant and juicy accord of tangy mandarin.

Heart Notes are warmed by the spicy aroma of immortelle fields. The fiery accord serves as a reminder of the god who granted Jupiter eternal life.

Base Notes blend the density of leather accords with the intoxicating ripples of incense, balanced by the mineral undertones of Akigala wood. As the wind intensifies, the powerful trail of this woody-spicy extract reveals its full grandeur.

The extract has a sweet, incense-like aroma. To me, it resembles the scent of classic Ganymede in its base notes, but with more intensity. The mineral aspect is toned down; there are no glossy magazine or obvious plastic notes, although hints remain. Its longevity and diffusion are stronger than that of a typical eau de parfum. Be cautious in humid or rainy weather, as the scent can become overwhelmingly intense. Overall, it retains the DNA of the classic version, yet it feels different. Personally, it smells like spicy, nutty wood, incense, and a very potent immortelle. It's akin to inhaling a herbal remedy. I still prefer the classic version more. However, I can't wear the classic in winter as its mineral notes overwhelm me, but I can wear this one :)

P.S. The extract is more unisex.

If anyone thinks this is the same Ganymede but more long-lasting, it's not. There are some echoes of Ganymede, but this fragrance is essentially spicier and smokier. It's pleasant and very long-lasting. However, it might be better suited for perfume enthusiasts, or "advanced users," rather than beginners. With the classic Ganymede, I would receive several compliments at work in a day, but with this one, people mentioned it smelled a bit smoky (even though I don't smoke at all). That's the kind of smokiness this fragrance has. I personally liked it, but keep in mind that not everyone around you will have the same impression.

The extract is significantly different from the classic version. To me, it smells like very dry spices, similar to a blend of khmeli-suneli. However, it is incredibly beautiful! The sillage, longevity, and diffusion of the fragrance are outstanding. I liked this version, but the price is outrageous. Nonetheless, this perfume, like its predecessor, is definitely worth the cost.

Ladies, if you're leaving comments, please try to write them correctly, if possible. Reading "wear-wear" mistakes is just unbearable.

The new fragrance is incredibly intriguing. Initially, when you first apply it, there's a strong burnt or smoky impression—very concentrated. But after an hour, it transforms into an amazing scent that's simply irresistible. It's not sweet, and I believe men might be more inclined to wear it than women. However, I personally love these deep, complex fragrances that take time to fully develop. It's definitely a super stylish and unique scent. Is it worth taking the plunge? Absolutely yes. For fall and winter, it's perfect. I rate it 10/10. In cool weather, it's pure allure. For men, it's a definite yes! For women, it's for the bold who love to stand out. The longevity is incredible. It's definitely worth the price!
