Before starting the measurement, ensure that the value indicated in the gallium column is below 36°C. Place the thermometer on the body according to the desired type of measurement. After approximately 4 minutes, the thermometer will determine the body temperature, and it can be read. You can facilitate the temperature measurement by gently rotating the thermometer. After measuring, lower the temperature of the indicator liquid to below 36°C. To do this, insert the thermometer into the appropriate holder in the case, making sure to insert it fully, passing the probe through the corresponding hole. Then, hold the holder and, with quick and rhythmic movements, lower the liquid below the first numbered mark. Clean the glass thermometer before and after use.
Oral Measurement. Measurement duration: 4 minutes. Normal temperature: 37°C. Place the bulb of the thermometer under the tongue and breathe through the nose to avoid distorting the measurement result.
Rectal Measurement. Measurement duration: 4 minutes. Normal temperature: 37.5°C. Gently insert the bulb of the thermometer into the rectum no more than 2 cm, stopping immediately if you feel any resistance.
Axillary Measurement. Measurement duration: 4 minutes. Normal temperature: 36.7°C. Ensure the armpit is dry, then place the bulb of the thermometer in the hollow under the arm and press the arm against the bulb.
I am absolutely outraged. Before my child was born, I bought this exact product. In the first few weeks, we measured the baby's temperature at 37°C, but the pediatricians said up to 37.5°C is normal. Okay, overall, the baby seemed fine, so we didn't panic.
When my son was 5 months old, I got sick, and unfortunately, he caught it too. His temperature was 37.7-37.8°C, and he was hot, crying, and couldn't be calmed down, even though he usually fell asleep peacefully at night. We gave him some fever-reducing medication... Long story short, when his temperature read 35.4°C at 4 AM, we suspected something was wrong! My husband and I both measured 35.6°C. We checked with a mercury thermometer and both had 36.6°C! We continued testing during the day, and it kept giving incorrect readings! This is unacceptable!
So when it showed 37.7°C, was it actually 38°C or higher?!
I have no complaints about the makeup. But I have huge complaints about the manufacturer. This, especially at such a young age, can not only be harmful but could also be life-threatening!
P.S. We tested it on ourselves when we first opened it, and everything was fine. We didn't drop it or damage it; it has always been kept in its original packaging. We measured for 6 minutes or longer. So it just stopped working properly.
The thermometer actually shows everything correctly, but personally, I find it a bit difficult to catch the angle at which the values are visible. It is a good thing, as it is much easier for me, both mentally and for my children, to measure the temperature knowing that we won't go bald or die in agony if it breaks.
