I tried the products from this professional L'Oreal Metal Detox line for the first time: I tested the pre-shampoo, clarifying shampoo, and oil (each of these products claims to reduce porosity, brittleness, and maintain the color/tone of dyed hair).
Background: I am a blonde with thin, fluffy hair that is not thinning; I lighten my hair every four weeks (roots) with stretching throughout the length (over 30 years); I have natural blonde hair extensions on it (60 cm long).
Testing results:
1) Pre-shampoo: This foam is easy to apply along the length! It untangles all the knots even on the extensions throughout the length, and softens nicely; no need to rinse!
2) Shampoo: We simply apply it on the pre-shampoo, but also massage it into the scalp and distribute it along the length with the pre-shampoo. It lathers very well, so we only need a very small amount (literally, one fingertip is enough for 60 cm of dry bleached hair!). It is incredibly economical - rinses off easily, does not leave any residue on the scalp, and does not itch. It did not damage any of my extensions after 4 uses. After rinsing - the effect is amazing: hair is soft, full, and delicate throughout the length, so I used the oil solely for the sake of the experiment.
3) Oil: It is very concentrated and thick, we take literally a drop, spread it in wet palms, and run our hands through the ends for saturation, and then we sort of rub our palms along the length of the hair (but not above the mid-length) - it adds shine and gloss.
Then we dry it as usual.
Result: You will be IMPRESSED! The hair becomes thicker, fuller, and heavier, with no brittleness (really surprised!). The main advantage is that the hair color (I have a pearly pink blonde) is truly preserved - no matter what I tried, there is never any transparent pinkness or pearly shine after 3 applications.
