Unfortunately, it doesn't fulfill its function as it picks up too much product on the brush. It's not catastrophic, but I don't want to waste extra time. I have fairly long lashes, but they are very light at the tips (I'm naturally a blonde), so the effect is very noticeable after coloring.

I don't know what lumps you're talking about) unless, maybe, there was a bit too much of it during the first application. However, let it "breathe" and after about the third time, you'll get amazing lashes. I'm amazed) it's on par with Sky High for me, maybe even better. However, it's all individual.
