I'm generally not a fan of Black Opium fragrances, but I received this one as a gift and it won my heart. It's perfect for the fall and winter! It has great staying power, and I've received compliments from everyone about this scent.

As soon as the fragrance hit the market, I began searching for it in stores and testing it on myself at different times. I've been looking for something exclusively cherry-scented for a long time, as the familiar Lost Cherry by Tom Ford has become tiresome and no longer excites me. Many people mention that the cherry scent doesn't last long and fades by the second note, leaving only the classic Black Opium aroma, which made me hesitate to purchase this version. However, after trying it on myself a few times, I fell in love with it and couldn't live without it... so I ordered it. On me, the cherry scent lasts all day; it's not as vibrant as the initial note, but definitely noticeable! I must say, this Over Red version is almost nothing like the classic line; it’s something special, more passionate and juicy! It's like intoxicating coffee with cherry liqueur syrup, gently wrapping around and warming you throughout a cold day. Personally, it's now my favorite among all the Black Opium fragrances—I’m thrilled! It’s exactly what I was looking for. I recommend it to those who love cherry with a twist, not in a classic sense. For the cold autumn and winter, this is one of my favorite fragrances. It has a delightful blend of coffee, a hint of cherry, and vanilla. I can also sense chocolate, even though it's not listed in the notes. To me, it smells like chocolate-covered cherries. It's warm and comforting. In warmer weather, it can be overwhelming, but right now, it's an incredibly enjoyable scent.

Delicious sweet fragrance, didn't notice any drawbacks (it's not lacking in longevity or smelling like alcohol).

After the initial alcohol scent dissipates, the first note is a faint, subtle cherry aroma—not sour cherry, but sweet cherry—which quickly fades and is immediately overpowered by vanilla. The bottle itself smells strongly of vanilla and nothing else. At first, I thought it was just me, but several people have told me that I smell strongly of vanilla right after applying it. Fortunately, the scent is pleasant and not artificial, and I generally like vanilla, but I was expecting cherry. After the vanilla, there's a classic perfume scent that I can't quite describe; it's complex, but again, it's not cherry! Finally, the fragrance ends with a very intrusive, complex, and artificial scent that I didn't like. It smells like burnt sugar with coffee, and there's even a hint of smoke, as if coffee boiled over and burned on the stove while sugar caught fire somewhere. I hope it might change a bit with time. But for now, it's the disappointment of the year. How can it even be compared to Tom Ford's Lost Cherry when they are on completely different levels, different categories, and different qualities?

I expected this perfume to be more long-lasting. Perhaps it needs some time to settle, or maybe it's just a personal experience, as they say. I previously had a sample of this fragrance, and it seemed more enduring.
