With regular use, you will notice an improvement in the condition of your nails. The formula is based on the antifungal properties of salicylic acid, benzoic acid, clove bud oil, climbazole, piroctone olamine, and boric acid. This lotion eliminates the fungus causing nail infections, promotes the growth of new and healthy nails, and stops unpleasant odors and itching.
Denatured water and ethyl alcohol serve as solvents, with ethyl alcohol also acting as a topical disinfectant for damaged nails.
Glycerin has moisturizing properties and serves a hydrating function.
Salicylic acid possesses antifungal properties and can be used to treat ringworm, a fungus that causes various skin infections. Salicylic acid can eliminate tinea versicolor, an infection of the upper layer of the skin causing scaling and discoloration; athlete's foot; jock itch; body ringworm; and scalp ringworm. It works by suppressing the ability of fungi to grow and reproduce.
Benzoic acid. Candida albicans is a significant opportunistic fungal pathogen capable of causing infections in humans. The effect of benzoic acid is evaluated on 3 strains of C. albicans (ATCC-76645, LM-106, and LM-23). Benzoic acid inhibits the growth of mold, yeast, and some bacteria. Benzoic acid and its salts are used as food preservatives because they are absolutely safe.
PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil is a solubilizer for some small particles.
Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Flower Oil is known for its natural antifungal action. It is a bio-compound in harmony with the entire science.
Urea has long been an effective and safe treatment for numerous dermatological conditions. Its use in treating damaged, nonviable, dystrophic, and fungal nails is well documented. Urea's mechanism of action in the nail apparatus is based on its keratolytic and moisturizing activity by breaking hydrogen bonds. This weakens keratin and increases the water-binding sites. Given the keratolytic effect of urea, it has been used by physicians in the treatment of onychomycosis. Numerous studies have shown that combined therapy with urea and an antifungal agent is an effective treatment for onychomycosis. Urea softens the nail plate, allowing better penetration of antifungal agents into the underlying nail bed. The safety and efficacy of urea in numerous dermatological conditions are well documented. With its keratolytic and moisturizing mechanism, urea is very useful in treating skin and nail diseases. Urea has proven to be a successful treatment for onychomycosis and an effective agent for chemical nail removal.
Sodium Benzoate – Fungal infections are always accompanied by mold and bacteria. Sodium benzoate acts against a wide spectrum of microorganisms: Bacillus mucoides; Bacillus subtilis; Staphylococcus aureus; Pseudomonas aeruginosa; Escherichia coli; Aspergillus niger; fungal microorganisms albicans; Fusarium oxysporum; Trichoderma harzianum; Penicillium italic.
D-panthenol – has the ability to soothe and nourish the skin, as it is a provitamin B5.
Propylene Glycol – has emollient properties and acts as a co-solvent.
Climbazole. Climbazole is an imidazole antifungal agent. It is a topical antifungal medication commonly used to treat fungal skin infections in humans, such as dandruff and eczema. Climbazole works by inhibiting lanosterol-14α-demethylase, an enzyme responsible for the production of steroids necessary for maintaining fungal cell membranes.
Triclosan. This is a specific antibacterial agent because if there is a fungal infection, there is also a bacterial infection. At high concentrations, triclosan acts as a biocide with multiple cytoplasmic and membrane targets. However, at the lower concentrations found in commercial products, triclosan exhibits bacteriostatic action, primarily affecting bacteria by inhibiting fatty acid synthesis.
Piroctone Olamine. Piroctone olamine is an antifungal active ingredient that soothes inflamed skin and reduces flaking. It specifically targets Pityrosporum Ovale, the causative agent of some fungi. An antifungal product containing piroctone olamine eliminates fungal infections and prevents new fungi from forming, keeping the skin clean, eliminating itching, and preventing new diseases.
EDTA – A system stabilizer, antioxidant, and chelator.
