In the Angela Ciampagna Cineres (Ashes) collection, there are two fragrances - Fauni and Ignes. They are dedicated to an ancient pagan ritual in honor of the winter solstice day. Christianity adopted this tradition, and in Atri, a fire is lit every December night in the square - tall bundles of reeds dispel the darkness with bright flashes.
The intense and elegant Ignes symbolizes purification and rebirth through fire. The note of Erba Tornabuona (an ancient name for tobacco) is supported by salty wood (a special note obtained by steam distillation from the bark of plants growing along the Adriatic coast) and patchouli with precious resins. Vetiver and sandalwood on a musky-amber base firmly hold the noble soul of the fragrance.
