Ensure your hands are thoroughly washed before handling the LadyCup. Before the first use, the LadyCup must be sterilized. For insertion, it is recommended to try the following positions: sitting, squatting, kneeling, or standing. Experiment with these positions to find the most comfortable one for you. To ease insertion, moisten the LadyCup with water or use a water-based lubricant. Hold the LadyCup with your fingers, compress it, and then fold it lengthwise using the fingers of your other hand.
Hold the LadyCup with one hand as low as possible and insert it into the vagina at a backward angle.
The correct position for the LadyCup is lower than where a tampon would sit. Once inserted, release your fingers, allowing the LadyCup to fully unfold and adhere to the vaginal walls. Run a finger around the cup to ensure it is properly sealed.
Empty the LadyCup at least once every 12 hours, depending on the flow of your menstruation.
Always handle the LadyCup with clean hands. In your chosen position (sitting, standing, etc.), locate the handle or base of the LadyCup. You can assist yourself by bearing down slightly, which will help move the LadyCup downwards. Squeeze the base of the LadyCup, then gently remove it after relaxing. During the first removal, it is important to stay calm and relaxed. If you encounter difficulty, use a finger to break the suction by separating the cup's edge from the vaginal wall. This will make it easier to remove the LadyCup.
Pour the contents of the cup into the toilet.
