Always ensure your hands are thoroughly washed before handling the LadyCup. Sterilize the LadyCup before using it for the first time. Recommended positions for inserting the LadyCup include sitting, squatting, kneeling, and standing. Try these positions and choose the one that works best for you. To make insertion easier, you can wet the LadyCup with water or use a water-based lubricant. Hold the LadyCup between your fingers and squeeze it. Then, using the fingers of your other hand, fold the LadyCup in half lengthwise.
Hold the LadyCup as close to the base as possible with one hand and insert it into your vagina at an angle towards your back.
The correct position for the LadyCup is lower than where a tampon would sit. After inserting it into your vagina, release your fingers so the LadyCup can fully expand and adhere to the vaginal walls. Run a finger around the base of the cup to ensure it is properly sealed and securely in place.
Empty the LadyCup at least once every 12 hours, depending on your menstrual flow.
Always handle the LadyCup with thoroughly washed hands. In your chosen position (sitting, standing, etc.), locate the stem or base of the LadyCup. You may need to bear down slightly to help move the LadyCup closer to the vaginal opening. Squeeze the base of the LadyCup, then gently remove it once you relax. During the first removal, it is important to stay calm and relaxed. If you have difficulty, use a finger to break the suction by pressing on the side of the cup. This will make it easier to remove the LadyCup.
Pour the contents of the cup into the toilet.
