Apply the cream as the final step of the skincare routine, 20 minutes before sun exposure. The cream does not feel heavy after reapplication or layering.
The texture is light, but the scent is not very pleasant to me. It absorbs into the skin moderately, so you need to wait a bit (I don't apply a lot of cream). I'm not sure how effective it is as an SPF or if it truly protects against the sun, but I do know that it makes my skin itch. I have combination skin, with some areas being oily and shiny, while others are dry, and I also frequently experience breakouts. After using this cream, I feel the urge to scratch my skin, which is not good for me. I doubt this reaction is normal. I won't be purchasing this cream again.
I was also swayed by the rave reviews, but it was a mistake. The SPF has a light texture, but for some reason, it doesn't absorb into my skin. As a result, my makeup looks terrible with it (I waited 30 minutes after applying the SPF), and no powder can set the mess on my face. I also want to mention that I use a topical retinoid every evening, and in the morning I apply SPF. I've noticed that this SPF disrupts my skin barrier (causing burning, peeling, and redness after washing), so if you're on systemic therapy or using topical retinoids, be aware of this issue. It got to the point where I had to stop using the SPF for a few days to let my skin recover. I've now ordered the CU Skin SPF and hope it will work better.
A good SPF with a light texture.
A big surprise with this sunscreen! I have oily skin and I’m always looking for the best option for the day to day. The smell when you open it, is not a typical smell of sunscreen but then disappears after applied. Handles quite few hours and dry touch.
I didn't buy it here, but I'll leave a review. I have combination skin and this cream is a perfect fit. After using it, my skin becomes matte and soft, it absorbs quickly and leaves a matte finish. Superb!
This is a great SPF for oily/combination skin. I'm waiting for it to be back in stock. I used to use Beauty of Joseon and the difference is just drastic. Beauty of Joseon is denser and heavier for my skin (although everyone seems to write as if it's lightweight), whereas Tocobo is very lightweight and watery, quickly absorbed by the skin and doesn't leave a greasy shine. I would say this SPF is almost perfect, but it stings a little if the skin is irritated. Another downside is the strongly pronounced floral scent.
The texture is terrible, it doesn't absorb at all. My face feels like a pancake. And the smell is slightly unpleasant, in my opinion.
