No professional makeup artist can create the perfect look without a high-quality primer. The Puri Pore No Sebum Primer Dewy Blur by the Korean brand Holika Holika is an excellent choice for those with oily and problematic skin. Thanks to its lightweight consistency, it applies smoothly, blends well, fills in all facial imperfections, masks both noticeable and minor blemishes, and evens out skin tone.
This product absorbs excess sebum without clogging pores or disrupting the natural metabolic processes of the epidermis. It facilitates the application of decorative cosmetics and ensures makeup remains flawless for a long time, even in adverse weather conditions. The primer actively moisturizes the skin, has an antibacterial effect, helps soothe inflammation, and normalizes the function of the sebaceous glands.
Yes, it really does a great job of evening out and smoothing the texture of the skin. However, it would be even better if it could also control the oiliness of the face. It tends to roll off, so it needs to be absorbed well by the skin.
I have oily skin, and this product is a perfect match for me! It completely eliminates any shine, effectively mattifies my skin, and smooths out my pores beautifully.
I didn't understand the product. It's supposed to be a primer, so I expected it to mattify, smooth out pores, and do all the things you would expect from a primer for oily skin (by the way, there is another primer from Holika Holika that does all of this).
This product is more like a cream that absorbs quickly. My skin doesn't get as oily throughout the day, but it still shines by the end of the day. Makeup doesn't slide off when I use it, but I'm not sure if that's because of the powder or the primer, so I still need to figure that out.
It didn't even out or conceal my pores (which is a shame).
Overall, I expected more. I'll just use it as a cream when I don't feel like wearing makeup but still want to refresh my skin. It's not bad, but again, it might work better for someone with less oily skin.
The Holika Holika puri pore no sebum primer DEWY BLUR or When not to rush to conclusions.
It's like they all agreed! Everywhere in Russian, I see (in the description) recommendations to use this primer for oily and problematic skin, but this is a mass mistake.
The manufacturer clearly states on the packaging in English: "...primer provides moisture and care for DRY skin that lacks moisture," which means "for DRY skin." After all, this primer is intended for MOISTURIZING and at the same time blurring, smoothing pores and flaking, which is perfect for combination skin.
Matting is supposedly also claimed, but in fact, your face will shine fashionably now (if you don't apply makeup over it), but it will restrain the production of sebaceous glands, that's for sure. But it is NOT suitable for oily skin! I insist on that.
It is very strange that the manufacturer added a sentence at the end of the description: "The gentle ingredient is safe to use even on sensitive skin," which is doubtful in itself because among the wonderful bactericidal, anti-inflammatory, and moisturizing extracts, there is a bunch of ingredients that can cause allergies, check for yourself.
This is my first primer (after washing my face, I wiped it with a hydrolat, applied serum, and then spread a pea-sized amount of primer on my face), and I like it (oh, silicone, you beautifully "photoshop" the skin), but I won't buy it anymore, I am specifically concerned about one substance in the composition, namely Tromethamine.
It is used as a fragrance, buffering agent, masks odor, regulates acidity, and... it is a CARCINOGEN. An example of how a spoonful of tar spoils a barrel of honey.
I made my first Make up purchases for the first time. I have no experience using primers. This is my first product in this category :)
So far, I have only had the opportunity to experiment with it at home. I will try it out for real on New Year's :)
I liked the product: it is like a light cream, easy to apply and quickly absorbed. It has a pleasant light smell.
I am satisfied with my purchase.
But I have a question:
As far as I know, all products imported into the country should either have a description in Ukrainian or a sticker with the name and description in Ukrainian should be attached to them.
Actually, this was the case with other products in my order, but not with this primer. It only has English and Korean languages on the packaging and tube.
Why is that?
