What does summer smell like? Better ask the perfumers at Oriflame, because they certainly know the answer. One such fragrance is Osmanthus Infusion from the Women's Collection. It is vibrant, joyous, and incredibly inspiring. The delicate and soft osmanthus, reminiscent of sweet apricot with creamy undertones, gives a very feminine feel, while the citrus-berry tartness instills optimism. This eau de toilette has an extremely seductive scent, so your admirers should be on guard — resisting will be quite difficult.
Top notes open with a bright dominant mandarin, bringing freshness and sweet citrus nuances. Elegant cyclamen petals and a fruity touch of black currant make the beginning quite unforgettable.
Heart notes are dominated by soft, apricot-like osmanthus with a slight leathery undertone. Exotic ylang-ylang, reminiscent of ripe bananas, and lush peony add a touch of fantasy and intoxicating sweetness to the fragrance.
Finally, base notes lead the scent to its cozy foundation. Cedar creates a woody, slightly balsamic base, soft sandalwood adds longevity, and sweet musk imparts sensuality and warmth.
This is a pleasant and light summer fragrance. It smells like natural apricot jam with floral notes (maybe I can detect osmanthus) on a musky base. It is sweet enough but not overwhelming. The longevity is average, considering it is an eau de toilette concentration. It is cute and feminine. Not all fragrances have to be complex, right? ;)
