The scent is different, but it's subjective because not everyone likes herbs. Unlike its predecessor, the shampoo is now transparent and orange. In my opinion, its cleansing ability hasn't changed, but I enjoy using the newer version because my skin is not as accustomed to it, and it keeps my hair clean for a little longer (I have oily skin type and wash my hair every other day).
