Fragrances awaken memories and can stir the imagination. Through them, we can travel back in time, if only for a moment.
The top notes are the first scents you'll encounter immediately after lifting the wooden lid or lighting the candle, characterized by aldehydic-green shades and conifers. The top notes of fragrances are very intense, but their scent quickly evaporates, giving way to... the heart notes!
The heart notes, also known as middle notes, are the scents you'll notice about 10 minutes after lighting the candle, as they freely fill the room, blending with the base notes, which I'll discuss in just a moment! Heart notes play an extremely important role in perfume compositions—they give the fragrance depth and character.
The base note, as the name suggests, is the foundation of the perfume composition, and although they are not the most intense notes, they serve as a backdrop for all the other scents used.
