The Swedish fragrance house Byredo has released another extravagant unisex scent, named Byredo Black Saffron. Something truly intriguing and dark resides within its composition. Interestingly, it features notes of black violet, fused with a "black leather" accord, and initially, the presence of dark saffron can be felt.
To prevent the fragrance from being too somber, the composition of this perfumed water is lightened with the sunny scents of grapefruit, raspberry, and pomelo, along with the delicate aroma of rose. This unique bouquet is spiced up with the robust spicy notes of juniper. The final scent profile reveals a sophisticated trail of wood and vetiver. This perfume, with its distinct Eastern-spicy aroma, will greatly appeal to those who love to emphasize their individuality.
I usually don't like fruity scents in perfumes, but this one stole my heart. In the first few minutes, you can only smell the note of raspberry, but over time, a subtle leather fragrance starts to intertwine. It is long-lasting, and just two sprays are enough for the whole day. I can still smell it on myself even if I change clothes.
I received a 50ml bottle and it gave me aesthetic pleasure. As for the scent, I can detect a hint of raspberry, citrus, and maybe something else. The fragrance is multidimensional and constantly changing, and its longevity is not affected by wearing it throughout the day. However, I deduct one star due to its staying power. It can be noticed on clothes even the next day, but unfortunately, it quickly fades away on the skin.
It smells like leather, very soft and fruity. It has a luxurious and natural scent. Thumbs up from me.
First time I tried them, I couldn't forget. I bought them in Istanbul. I don't like sweet perfumes, but these are an exception. I can smell blackcurrant, even though it's not listed in the notes. There's something special about them, something characteristic of the brand. At first, they are very intense. The sillage is luxurious. They last a day, even longer on clothes. Men give compliments. My partner considers this perfume the best of the best. My mom also appreciated it and wanted to have this perfume for herself.
For me, this fragrance is still questionable... It reminds me of when you come back from a luxurious party where everyone was smoking cigars all evening, and you are wearing an evening gown with an evening perfume... You wake up in the morning, take out this dress - and here it is, Black Saffron.
It vaguely reminds me of Gucci Rush, and the longevity is excellent.
For someone like me with elevated intracranial pressure and the inability to choose a perfume, this fragrance is simply a discovery. Despite its slight sweetness, it is absolutely unobtrusive, non-cloying, very delicious, and expensive. I highly recommend it.
At the moment, this is my favorite one, the one that makes my head spin... and I can't get enough of it! I can distinctly taste the combination of tobacco and raspberry... despite the fact that I don't really like tobacco, this is something else entirely!
After the initial burst of oud, I craved the same, but not quite.
A beautiful fragrance, long-lasting and elegant. I adore it.
The scent is incredible - very long-lasting and it unfolds in an interesting way. It is one of the best fragrances for me in the Biredo collection.
