The refreshing unisex fragrance was launched in 2013 by creator Jean-Claude Ellena. "I cannot imagine a scent more joyful than mandarin or softer than amber," the perfumer described his creation. It's worth noting that Jean-Claude has a passion for painting, and he is quite a skilled watercolorist himself. This is not merely a coincidence. The fragrance is indeed like a painting that depicts the sunny landscapes of Italy.
This exquisite scent is a reinterpretation of the classic cologne Eau d'Orange Verte (1979). It has become significantly warmer and contains a higher concentration of citrus notes. Yes, the first note you detect is mandarin. The playful start of the fragrance continues with passionfruit and amber. It's a bright, fresh, and juicy mix, initially more fruity, then slightly woody with a clean base of amber and vanilla. The fragrance can be considered both fresh and gentle. If you decide to purchase it for yourself, rest assured that soon your significant other will start using it surreptitiously, as Hermes Eau de Mandarine Ambree leaves no one indifferent.
It's December time. How he plays with mandarins in the freezing cold is simply incredible! It splashes with a refreshing tanginess. Perfect for the New Year holidays. Doesn't sound as good during summer.
I absolutely adore Hermes, but this fragrance is not for me. It reminds me of my grandfather's cologne, and even my husband didn't like it! I bought it blindly based on descriptions and reviews.
To me, this fragrance has a feminine touch with a slightly sweet mandarin scent that quickly transitions into a warm amber tone. It stays close to the skin, providing a personal and comforting aroma. Unfortunately, it is not long-lasting on my skin as I can hardly smell it after an hour.
The fragrance is luxurious, evoking the sunny Mediterranean. It is incredibly sensual and stimulates the hormones of joy. It is a scent of happiness.
At first, the flesh of the mandarin is very sweet and almost immediately there is a lot of amber. It's somehow too sweet for a citrus scent. After about forty minutes, there is a hint of spiciness. The sweetness fades away and the scent becomes more interesting and unique with notes of mandarin zest, crushed mandarin leaf, passionfruit. I really like the ending of the composition. The longevity is almost non-existent :(
I wear it during winter and early spring, it's too sweet for me in hot weather. That's just how my skin chemistry works :)
When the brand Hermes is mentioned, I am simply amazed. I adore all of their fragrances.
I bought this for my son's birthday. It has a very nice youthful scent. It lasts a long time!
