The refreshing unisex fragrance was launched in 2013, crafted by Jean-Claude Ellena. "I cannot imagine a scent more joyful than mandarin and softer than amber," is how the perfumer described his creation. It is worth noting that Jean-Claude is also an avid painter and quite a skilled watercolorist. This is no mere coincidence; the fragrance is truly like a painting depicting sunny Italy.
This luxurious scent is a reimagining of the classic Eau d'Orange Verte cologne (1979). It has become much warmer and contains significantly more citrus notes. Yes, the first impression is all about mandarin. The playful opening continues with passion fruit and amber. This vibrant, fresh, and juicy blend starts off more fruity and then transitions to a slightly woody aroma with a clean base of amber and vanilla. The fragrance can be described as fresh and gentle. Once you acquire it for yourself, rest assured that soon your significant other will start using it secretly, as Hermes Eau de Mandarine Ambree leaves no one indifferent.
A TESTER is a demonstration version of the fragrance that manufacturers add to a batch of products for promotional purposes at the point of sale. Please note that there are no differences (quality, longevity, etc.) between a tester and the retail version! The only distinction is that, since testers are produced for advertising purposes, the manufacturer does not pay as much attention to their packaging: they are offered in what is known as technical packaging (a simple cardboard box that differs from the retail bottles) and often do not include a cap. This accounts for the lower price of testers.
It's December time. How he plays with mandarins in the freezing cold is simply incredible! It splashes with a refreshing tanginess. Perfect for the New Year holidays. Doesn't sound as good during summer.
I absolutely adore Hermes, but this fragrance is not for me. It reminds me of my grandfather's cologne, and even my husband didn't like it! I bought it blindly based on descriptions and reviews.
To me, this fragrance has a feminine touch with a slightly sweet mandarin scent that quickly transitions into a warm amber tone. It stays close to the skin, providing a personal and comforting aroma. Unfortunately, it is not long-lasting on my skin as I can hardly smell it after an hour.
The fragrance is luxurious, evoking the sunny Mediterranean. It is incredibly sensual and stimulates the hormones of joy. It is a scent of happiness.
At first, the flesh of the mandarin is very sweet and almost immediately there is a lot of amber. It's somehow too sweet for a citrus scent. After about forty minutes, there is a hint of spiciness. The sweetness fades away and the scent becomes more interesting and unique with notes of mandarin zest, crushed mandarin leaf, passionfruit. I really like the ending of the composition. The longevity is almost non-existent :(
I wear it during winter and early spring, it's too sweet for me in hot weather. That's just how my skin chemistry works :)
When the brand Hermes is mentioned, I am simply amazed. I adore all of their fragrances.
I bought this for my son's birthday. It has a very nice youthful scent. It lasts a long time!
