The shampoo truly lightens the hair, but in a gentle and gradual manner, provided that your natural hair color is from 7 tones and above. What's really nice is that it doesn't damage the hair quality, but, on the contrary, takes very good care of it. It worked perfectly for my light-brown thin hair!
So, let's go in order: I have naturally wheat-golden hair. The shampoo, not a tonic, only lightened the ends, and that was because I had previously lightened them with dye. The smell is relatively pleasant, it lathers well - the instructions say that you need to apply it twice, any shampoo will lather poorly the first time because you need to first rinse off the oil and dirt. It doesn't tangle the hair more than other shampoos. I even kept it on for not just 5 minutes, but the full 20.
The shampoo indeed has a slight lightening effect, but it tends to tangle the hair, especially if the hair is thin. Without using a conditioner afterwards, it becomes difficult to manage. Additionally, it doesn't lather very well. Overall, I would rate it a 4 out of 5.
This shampoo is very good, it truly lightens the hair gently and is easy to use. I left it for about 10 minutes for a better effect. It won't lighten the hair significantly, but it's not meant to be a dye. It's better to use a conditioner after it to reduce hair tangling.
