Mauboussin My Twist Eau de Parfum

I received an interesting fragrance today as a gift from my sons. It has a captivating scent, reminiscent of flowers and sugary candies. It is sweet, but not overpowering, and delicious. I own other heavy perfumes like Libre YSL and Lovely Elie Saab, but Twist is much lighter compared to those two.

Initially, it smells like a mix of flowers and sugary candies, but after about 10 minutes, a hint of leather is added, followed by a fresh note after another 5 minutes. It's not mint or menthol, but rather something icy. It unfolds on me in a very intriguing way. It's quite unconventional for such affordable perfumes, but my sons definitely made the right choice.

These perfumes are not for everyday use, rather suitable for spring/summer evenings when there's a light coolness in the air. They will smell wonderful. In terms of longevity, I would rate it 7 out of 10, which is very good considering the price.

I recently purchased the fragrance My Twist without testing it beforehand, based on the description. I read reviews that it is similar to Armani My Way, which I did not have, so I decided to try this fragrance at a well-known perfume store. Honestly, My Way was so suffocating and overpowering that it even suffocated me when I was outside. I started to worry that I wouldn't like My Twist. But when I received it and applied it to a blotter, then to my skin and clothing, I discovered that it is lighter, not suffocating, playful, and iridescent. It lasts for a day on clothing, I could still smell it on my hair throughout the evening and into the morning, but it fades a bit faster on the skin. Maybe it has a trail, I haven't quite figured it out yet. I am satisfied, the fragrance is worthy, it fills me with joy, it is high-quality, 100% original.

I was excited about receiving this gift at such an affordable price, especially after reading all the positive comments. Here's my honest opinion: first of all, thank you for the fast delivery, it was prompt. However, the fragrance is just average. It reminds me of perfumes from the 90s, and not even the best ones. The scent is overwhelming and cheap. None of the advertised components are even close to being present. There is no trace of blackcurrant, which usually adds a touch of bitterness and sophistication, and there is no hint of vanilla bitterness in the final note either. The gift itself is also questionable. When I applied the lotion on my body, it initially started to sting a bit, then it became itchy, and eventually caused a rash. Overall, this order turned out to be quite disappointing.

In my opinion, this fragrance is perfect for evenings and has a long-lasting scent. It reminds me of the women's perfume "Tom Ford Black Orchid".

The alternative to Elie Saab's Girl of Now falls just a bit short. However, for the price, it is a good fragrance for everyday use.

Average perfume. I bought it based on reviews. It is overly sweet and didn't meet my expectations. The longevity is average. It fades away after a few hours. I was hoping for better. I won't buy it again.

These perfumes are so delicious! They remind me of Givenchy's Angel and Demon. I will wear them with pleasure because they are simply love.
