  • 1. Choose a spot for the lamp: a flat and stable surface, away from heat sources and out of reach of children and pets.
    2. Using a funnel, fill the lamp body two-thirds full with a liquid suitable for catalytic lamps. Note that the liquid can be either neutral or scented, and you can mix them to achieve a milder scent. After filling, clean the lamp body and surface to remove any spills.
    3. Insert the burner and ensure its wick is in contact with the liquid, with the stone properly positioned above the metal base. If you are using the burner for the first time, cover the stone with the cap (to prevent evaporation) and let the wick soak for 20 minutes.
    4. Remove the cap and use a lighter to ignite the burner. Let it burn for two minutes. The flame should be around 7 to 10 cm (3 to 4 inches) high initially and will reduce in size with the burner’s use. Do not leave the lamp unattended during these two minutes and avoid touching the stone during this process.
    5. Blow out the flame, and once it is extinguished, cover the stone with the protective crown. The stone will be hot, so do not touch it: your lamp is now operational.
    6. Allow the lamp to purify the air for about 20 minutes in a space of approximately 10 square meters.
    7. To stop the lamp, carefully remove the crown, as it may be warm, and cover the hot stone with the metal cap to prevent further burning and evaporation.
    8. For storage, leave the cap and crown on the metal base, so everything is ready for the next use.
