Before the first use, sterilize the cup in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Make sure to wash your hands with soap beforehand. Fold the cup. There are different folding techniques you can try; experiment to find the one that suits you best. Insert the folded cup and allow it to expand inside the vagina. Upon proper insertion, the cup will open with a characteristic suction sound or "pop," indicating correct placement. If unsure, feel the base of the cup; it should be round or oval. If you feel any dents, the cup hasn't fully expanded. Gently hold the base (not the pin) and try to rotate it to ensure a suction seal has formed. Then, slightly tug on the stem. If you feel resistance, the cup has been successfully positioned.
