After surgery, I've been experiencing skin issues, specifically closed comedones on my cheeks. This happened because I couldn't properly wash my face for three weeks due to a rhinoplasty, which meant I couldn't get my nose wet. The consultants recommended four products: a gel, a cleanser, a night cream, and a day cream. My skin definitely looks better now, but I've noticed there's a retinol cream available. Should I incorporate it into my skincare routine? Will it trigger new breakouts? How does it affect closed comedones? I'm also using white clay and salicylic acid. Will they be compatible?
Yes, it does leave a film, but only if you don't wash your face thoroughly with a cleanser! I apply it at night after cleansing on my oily skin with blackheads and inflammations, and in the morning I wash it off well. And I have just one question—why didn't I start using it sooner? In just 2-3 weeks, my skin noticeably improved and there are almost no inflammations. I've purchased it for the third time, and I will continue to buy it.
The product forms a film on the face and clogs the pores.
I recently bought the same product abroad and the effect was immediate. It cleared up breakouts and reduced the appearance of blemishes, so I ordered it here now. However, I have been using it and so far there is no effect, unfortunately. I will continue using it and if anything changes, I will update my review.
I bought the entire line for problematic skin. There were a lot of comedones and a few breakouts.
I started by using the cleansing gel, and I really liked it. It cleanses well and doesn't dry out the skin. Then I tried this active gel, and the "cleansing" period began. The areas with comedones became red and sometimes painful pimples appeared... but I understand that this should happen because the comedones have nowhere else to go.
The gel does a great job. My skin has become softer and almost velvety. Even the same pimples heal faster and post-acne is less noticeable.
I recently also purchased the retinol, and I will write a review about it later.
So far, I am satisfied. I also want to mention that both the cleansing gel and the active gel are very economical and last a long time.
Thank you very much, Makeup, for the quick delivery and for each jar arriving intact and undamaged.
All the cosmetics from this company are luxurious. They suit my child perfectly. Thank you.
This product worked well for my teenagers. The number of acne has decreased, and the redness has disappeared.
The delivery was fast. Thank you, makeup.
My first acid gel. I have been using Cerave for more than 5 years and have bought around 7 different products. I have combination, sensitive skin that is prone to allergies and breakouts on my chin. Thanks to Cerave, I forgot what allergies and dryness are. I liked the gel, there was a period of cleansing when there were more breakouts at the beginning of use. Acne and their marks started healing much faster, and my skin tone evened out. It is important to follow the rules of use and use SPF cream. I liked it, I recommend it ❤️.
No result at all.
This product is useless. It doesn't dry anything. I don't understand anything about its function. I have been using it for a month now and I still don't understand what it does.
When I first started using this product, the first 5 days showed very good results - my pimples were drying out. However, after that, the product stopped working and the pimples started appearing again. I will continue to use it, but not on a regular basis, as my skin seems to get used to it.
Pros: Convenient packaging, lasts a long time.
Cons: Useless! I apply it on my face every evening, but there is no effect. I specifically compared the healing speed with and without this product. Conclusion: the same!
In short, I do not recommend it, money wasted.
I have tried many products, but this one did not impress me at all. It had no effect whatsoever. Currently, the best products for spot breakouts are: the pharmacy Ugresol and the Delacruz Acne Treatment from iHerb (although they can dry out the skin quite a bit).
I am impressed! I really liked it, it is the best thing I have tried for my skin so far.
I am currently enjoying using this product, which I started using a few days ago. I apply it at night on my entire face and then seal it with a cream. I have noticed that my pimples have dried up!
I can't even count how many chances I gave to this gel. My skin is problematic, with acne in remission, but it still breaks out. This gel was completely useless for both serious breakouts and minor issues. I used it for several months in a row and saw no results. After a considerable amount of time, I started using it again and have been using it for almost 2 months now, but there is no difference with or without it. However, the tube lasts a very long time... but there is no point in that.
Hello! I bought three of your products - this gel-cream, day cream with SPF 30, and retinol cream. Can you please advise me on how to properly combine these products in my skincare routine? I am having trouble figuring out the order of application. Thank you in advance :)
I really liked it, it is truly an effective product.
It is unpleasant to receive a cream that someone has already started using, especially considering that the cream is not cheap. I will not be ordering any more expensive products from you.
I love this product, it is now my must-have! I use it at night, after cleansing my face, I don't apply anything else, and by morning I can see improvements! It removes red/blue marks from healed pimples. Sometimes they would last for months, but with this thing, they are barely noticeable after a week or even completely gone. To get rid of blackheads, it takes a little more time, so I use it with a retinol cream from the same brand, following a schedule of 2/1 accordingly.
I purchased the deep cleansing gel for washing. This gel only helps to quickly reduce inflammation for me. I bought it on May 17th, and after 10.5 weeks, the only noticeable effect is that it helps to quickly reduce inflammation in 2-3 days if used every evening. It did not cause any breakouts (unfortunately). It also does not cause any allergies, which is great. However, for something more (blackheads, oiliness, flakiness, dullness, etc.), a complex treatment is needed. As a first product with acids in your skincare routine, it is worth trying. But make sure to follow up with a restorative cream! Once, my skin became dry when I ran out of my restorative cream. I thought my skin had gotten used to the products and that a regular moisturizer would be enough. I was wrong - dryness, redness, and flakiness appeared on my oily skin! So, make sure to always follow up with a restorative cream (one that restores the skin's hydro-lipid barrier) in the evening, containing kombucha, probiotics, ceramides, peptides, etc., as listed.
I had a lot of red pimples on my shoulders, but the gel effectively dried them out and they gradually started to heal. It also works well on the face, as if it made the facial texture smoother and enhanced the brightness of the skin tone.
The gel is truly effective! Don't be alarmed by breakouts, it's normal for acids, especially if it's your first time using them. I've been using it for 5 months and I can say that it really helps. The blackheads are so light that they're not visible, and pimples only appear during times of high stress, but the gel takes care of them.
Also, make sure to use SPF because the skin becomes sensitive to the sun after using acids, especially in the summer. And apply the gel correctly on completely dry skin to prevent foaming.
After 5 months, I still haven't finished it because you only need to apply a thin layer.
I will definitely be getting more!
Ladies, I have been using this gel for 3 months now, and it is the only thing that has helped me get rid of acne. I have been struggling with it all my life, and nothing seemed to work. I seal it off with the CeraVe night cream. Absolutely love it! ❤️
I have oily acne-prone skin. I have been using this product for over a month and my skin condition has improved: redness and breakouts have reduced. I also use the toner and SPF cream from this brand, and I really like everything.
I have been using it for about a week now, and I can already see improvements. It helps dry out pimples without causing new ones to appear. However, it hasn't yet had any effect on reducing oiliness of the skin. Nevertheless, I will continue using it.
I have been using this gel since March 10th in the evening. Today is already June 5th, and it has not done anything at all. There has been no improvement whatsoever, and there are no visible results.
I love all Cerave cosmetics, and I am completely satisfied with this gel. I have been using it for over a month, and it has a non-sticky and non-greasy consistency. It absorbs into the skin without leaving any traces. I haven't had any breakouts or inflammations on my skin, despite having oily skin. This gel helps regulate sebum production. Throughout the day, my skin doesn't get oily quickly.
I have problematic oily skin prone to breakouts, and this product was recommended by a dermatologist, but it is the worst thing I have ever used. For the first time in 4 months of using it, my skin has only gotten worse compared to before I started using this series. Before using it, think carefully and analyze all the pros and cons.
The gel didn't work for me; my skin turned red and it felt unpleasantly burning. I gave it to my friend, and it suited her fine.
The skin tone has evened out, occasional breakouts appear but quickly disappear. I'm not sure if it's thanks to this gel or my overall skincare routine (I use a hydrophilic oil, a cleansing gel, a moisturizing serum, and then this gel-treatment). Sunscreen is a must in the morning.
The gel performs its function and only helps. I am ordering it for the second time. Unfortunately, without it, the rashes come back.
I have some pimples on my nose, upper lip, and cheeks, but they are isolated and not causing any major inflammation or pain. However, when they do become inflamed, they can be quite painful. I started applying the product specifically to this area and it made a difference. My skin is combination, and I usually get one pimple every two months. So, the fact that I experienced a breakout after using this gel confirms that it was caused by the product. But if I only apply it to my T-zone, everything is fine. I use it as a peel, and the effects accumulate over time. I alternate between using it for a week and then using my regular skincare routine for a week. This combination keeps my skin clear and healthy. It also helps to slightly clean my pores and gives my face a radiant glow.
This product is truly effective.
The texture is terrible, in my opinion. It feels sticky and poorly absorbed. The product itself is not bad, the ingredients are good. However, I don't enjoy applying it to my skin.
I am thrilled with this product! Finally, an effective solution for problem skin. I am currently experiencing a breakout of acne, and this gel, combined with the appropriate treatment, is providing results that I haven't seen in many years. It doesn't excessively dry out the skin or cause any irritation; instead, it gently addresses imperfections and helps to exfoliate and cleanse the skin. I have been using it for 3 weeks now, and it has become an essential part of my skincare routine.
I have been using this product for a month. It effectively reduces redness and evens out the skin on my forehead. I cannot confirm that it prevents new breakouts due to hormone fluctuations, but I am still grateful for its benefits.
To be honest, nothing has changed. The only thing I dislike is that it is sticky. I have read comments saying that this gel should be used 2-3 times a week, maybe that's why nothing is changing.
I used this product almost every day and noticed that my breakouts were getting worse and worse each time. Then I read that acids should only be used twice a week, so I took a break and my skin returned to normal. In fact, everything became perfect and even closed comedones disappeared (I bought this gel specifically for them). Now, when I use it, I immediately get new breakouts in the morning. I guess it's normal because of the acids. I think the product works, you just need to use it correctly.
I have been using it for two months now. It is a perfect fit! The texture is light. Some people say it is sticky - I wouldn't say so. Maybe you can feel it minimally upon application, but it quickly absorbs and everything is great, no stickiness at all. The skin has definitely improved. Thank you, make.up - always fast delivery.
I ordered this gel based on the reviews, hoping to get rid of post-acne and closed comedones on my chin. I started using it on December 10th and have been using it every night for over a month now. However, I haven't seen any results at all. The closed comedones are still there and new ones keep appearing.
As for the gel itself, it's a bit sticky, but it's fine after applying a cream. The smell is strange.
Will I buy it again? No.
I started using this gel, applying it to my skin at night after washing with the green gel (for problem skin) and ANA toner. My face broke out a little on the cheeks, but these breakouts are fading with each passing day. I will wait at least a month and then add whether there are any changes.
The gel is amazing. After 2 weeks, you can already see noticeable results, and after 2 months of regular use, you can forget about pores forever! This is not just an empty promise, the product really works!
Excellent gel.
I really liked the gel. It effectively treats acne, leaving the skin fresh and moisturized.
Overall, this acid gel is really cool, it does a great job of getting rid of post-acne marks and closed comedones. In the first two weeks of using it, my skin broke out, but it eventually cleared up. It evens out the skin tone nicely and makes the skin look fresh. I use it together with the moisturizing lotion from Cerave, and Cerave is the best!
This product is very effective. After the holidays, I had a lot of breakouts and tried to solve the problem with La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ cream, but it only made my skin worse. The inflammation became redder and itchy. Since this CeraVe gel has already been tested, I decided to try to get rid of my problem using it. The results truly amazed me, as in just 3 days almost everything cleared up, even though I can't remember the last time I had so many breakouts. I really love this product and will definitely order more.
I used it for 2 months, but it didn't help me at all. There was no effect whatsoever.
For me, the cream is a 4- or 3+.
It didn't make things worse, but I haven't noticed any improvements on my skin either.
It leaves a stickiness that doesn't go away over time, so you end up sticking to the pillow.
This product is very sticky and practically doesn't get absorbed by the skin. I didn't notice any effect at all.
After using it, pimples appear. I used it for a month, before that my skin was not perfect, there were small breakouts, but overall my skin was almost clear, without pimples. I associate it with this product because when I stopped using it, they disappeared. I decided to give it a chance. Maybe it's a coincidence, but after a week of use, everything repeated. By the way, when there are pimples and inflammation, it is better not to use it because even my insensitive skin immediately starts to redden and burn. It didn't work for me. But I think the product is generally not bad. Just not for me)
The gel is fantastic, you can see the results immediately. It's a little sticky, but I apply the cream after a while and everything works perfectly.
The product is great, no new breakouts have appeared, it doesn't make the skin feel tight or sticky. My skin has become calm without any new breakouts.
Effective product. It worked perfectly for my skin. I use it in combination with a serum containing 15% niacinamide concentration. The result surprised me.
The consistency is good, it applies easily and absorbs well. At first, after applying, it slightly tightens the skin, but I wouldn't say it's critical, considering that it is a medicinal product. The smell is neutral.
After applying the product, the skin becomes very sticky and tight, even after applying cream. Initially, the use of the product evened out the skin tone. However, after a month of use, breakouts appeared, and I won't even bother finishing it.
I don't even know what to say about it. I didn't notice any results at all. I stopped using it and practically all the breakouts disappeared.
Extremely sticky to the point of impossibility.
The gel is indeed sticky, but I apply it in a thin layer, and everything is fine in the morning. I've been using it for 3 days, and there are already results. My forehead has become clearer, inflammation is subsiding, and post-acne is less noticeable. I also got the cleansing gel, and together they are amazing! I recommend it to girls with problematic skin.
What causes rashes is one thing, but this sticky film effect... Even if I cover it with cream, I can't escape from it. Personally, I didn't like it, but I'll still finish the tube.
For combination skin, this product proved to be a bit too aggressive during the cold season, and even after additional moisturization with the evening cream from the same brand, discomfort was still felt. Currently, my acne has improved and there are not many breakouts, so I only use it occasionally on inflamed areas. However, I believe that if my acne were in an active stage, this product would indeed be quite effective based on its ingredients.
