Boil water and then submerge the entire rail in hot (but not boiling) water for about 5 seconds. Carefully remove the rail from the water one at a time, and wait approximately 2-4 seconds for it to cool down. This will keep the rail warm, but not so hot that it burns your mouth and tongue. Gently place the mouthguard on your upper or lower dental arch, press it against your teeth with your tongue, suction out any saliva, and carefully mold the guard to your teeth and gums with your fingers. After about a minute of thorough fitting, remove the mouthguard from your mouth and place it in cold water for at least 2 minutes. Once cooled, the mouthguard will retain its shape and be ready for use.
