The mascara is a rich black color and has a velvety texture. It is easily removed with a foaming cleanser without smudging, but rather in small clumps. The only thing I don't like is that, despite the convenient brush, it feels prickly, which results in uneven clumps when layering on the lashes. I will try using a softer brush instead.
